I believe in prophecy. I believe in the prophetic gifting. I also believe in the office or role of the prophet in the new covenant. Yet I do not believe in what’s being passed off today as having anything to do with the true mark of those who truly walk in the gifting and calling of “prophet”.

Try as we might, we all have them now and then, those days when we have so much on our agenda that it seems like we meet ourselves coming and going. And when you put into the mix an urgent situation about family, health or kids, the Martha syndrome seems to compound. Well, it was one of those days, and now after a flurry of “gettin er done” , it’s at the end of a long tiring, but fruitful day when the Amazing Lord Jesus brought everything together and made it work out as only He can do.
I just felt the need to listen to this song, and let the tensions flow out and the Peace flow in…Thank you Lord Jesus. I’m so glad you are in control.

Do we ignore false teaching for the sake of peace?
There is a train of thought by many today in the modern church where it’s said we should not judge for the sake of unity, more so, we should just love one another regardless of our different views and allow people to listen to whomever they want. It sounds good, it sounds reasonable, but the problem is, it’s a compromise which is not only dangerous, once it begins to be followed, it will produce spiritual death.
The word of God states in Ephesians 5:11 “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” What Paul the Apostle was saying is, when someone is preaching or teaching false doctrine that is contrary to the word, we have a moral duty to expose that teaching as heresy, not partake of it (accept it). Anything that takes away from the word of God is to be rejected outright, no matter how well meaning it might have been, or how sincere the person who is teaching such beliefs are, the facts remain the same, if any teaching goes against the word of God, that teaching must be labeled as false. This includes the teaching by some that says those who die in the faith never come out of the grave, or, they lie in perfect state in the grave itself, for decades or even centuries until the resurrection. This teaching by some and their religious affiliation is false, and it can be proven false by the word itself.

Red Flag Warning about this false revival. For those of you who are new Christians and weren’t around during the false Brownsville revival, there is at least one of these false teachers involved with Azuza Now, that has been present here in the Truth or Consequences, NM so-called “revival”. Beware of this and check it out carefully by the Word of God the Bible. There is a lot of hyped up fleshly excitement that counterfeits the Move of the Spirit and Revival, but it’s not. Please run from this as if your hair’s on fire. I believe there is harmful demonic activity that can affect well meaning Christians in a very negative manner that they will need deliverance from. There are attempts being made by some who have influence within the church to incorporate false beliefs such as Catholicism, Mormonism, even within the Charismatic camp, the word of faith movement is based on a false belief which says Jesus Christ had to be “born again” in hell. Which leads me to my opening sentence – “How to be a Buddhist Christian”. There are some who are now trying to incorporate Buddhism into mainstream Christianity and it’s becoming a major issue with those who see it for what it is – heresy, but even worse than that – demonic.

These guys and gals are my heroes! Bikers for the Lord Jesus. I have one son who has the money to ride to exotic destinations, and stay at good hotels along the way, eat the best of food at good restaurants . That’s what he and his wife are doing now on their vacation. But my other son…he is at the other end of the spectrum, and homeless in Albuquerque. I don’t know where he’s at right now. I haven’t heard from him for days. I just know that he’s been going through some very hard times since he ended up in this huge mega city in the last couple of weeks. This is one of those cities that eats people alive and no one notices. Well, some do, like these awesome bikers that use their club and their bikes as a Christian ministry to serve the Lord in ministering to the least of these.
One of the last things my son shared with me about what he was going through was he had gone to a food pantry and gotten some food and went to a park and cooked some of it, and was carrying around the rest of it but knowing that if he couldn’t share it with someone that it would spoil because he had no way to cook or refrigerate some of the things. At some point he sat down on a city bus stop bench where there was a young woman sitting there who was crying. He asked her what was wrong, and she said she didn’t have any money for bus fare, and she was hungry. He told her she could have some of this food he’d been carrying around which she gladly accepted. My son told me he stayed with her to protect her and they slept that night outside a church building and in the morning some lady came by and gave them $20, which they used for bus fare, and probably some food. He stayed at her apt for a day, and that’s the last I’ve heard from him. He usually goes to a library computer lab and contacts me via the Internet, but this time, there has been no word from him for 5 days.
The Lord has been very firm, even to the point of warning me not to worry about situations. That He can’t move unless I let go and turn the problem over to Him. Worry is sin and the Lord will not, and even cannot respond to worry. With His children He only responds to our faith and trust. In any case , I try to not worry but I must admit it’s painful and heartbreaking knowing what this cherished son is or may be going through.
I won’t go into details about how he ended up homeless, but most, if not all of it was his own doing by the choices he made. Still, he does know the Lord, and I believe with all my heart that the Lord is going to work this out for the good, according to His promise.
Please pray for him….and me as well- but especially for these Christians who are using their resources to help the needy in Albuquerque. Please pray for the girl as well, she’s pregnant and told my son that her mom had died just days before. I know the Lord has His hand on my son and I am believing the way this sad girl came into the picture was by Divine appointment . In the days ahead in this country, there are going to be many more homeless, hurting and needy people. We all need to look for ways to minister to them and the suffering as good soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ
