So you want to be a mystic? Wouldn’t it simpler to just cease from your own works, struggling to go deep to “be in Christ”, and instead, open the door of your being and let Him BE IN YOU? If we are to do any striving, shouldn’t it be to enter into His Rest?

I’ve been watching this Emergent movement phenomena for many years. There are 2 streams that I am thinking about today.

1. The Ooze: (Remember that? I was on the mailing list for years, just to see what was going on.) This supposedly Christian, “embracing doubt” skepticism movement takes struggling Christians, deconstructs them and transforms them into atheists.

2. The Hatchery (and similar movements): This “alternative to traditional Christianity” mystical, transcendent, contemplative spirituality movement takes struggling Christians and deconstructs and transforms them into full-fledged New Age Mystical, “spiritualism” practicing, global spirituality (“all is one”) enlightened, spiritually evolved, wisdom sages.

Apostle Peter: From Humble Fisherman to the Big Time?

There IS something wrong with this picture! The Apostle Peter knew better than this. He would never have taken on such lavish grandiosity to himself. He walked with the Lord Jesus Christ, and knew very well the teachings of the Lord to have a servant’s attitude toward others.

“But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:25-28

It should be obvious to anyone that so-called “Popes” bear no resemblance to either the Apostle Peter, or the Lord Jesus Christ. Apparently the Roman Catholic Church made this stuff up as they went along, because the Apostle Peter didn’t practice or teach Roman Catholic man made doctrine, and neither did the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s get back to the basics of Truth and the bedrock of Christianity, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and not man made doctrines. “Traditions” do not trump the Holy Scriptures.

See? This is NOT the example the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Apostle Peter left. I pray that all Catholics will pray and see the truth of the gospel, and get past what they were taught, to read the Bible for themselves and to be set free from the bondage of the Catholic church.

Who gave these churches the right to change the way God set up the church?  Back then, as a newbie, I tried to make excuses, such as, “Well, they’re doing some things right”…and, “these are different times we’re living in now, and after all it looks like they do love the LORD”.

Richard Wurmbrand…the Voice of the Martyrs…or the Voice of Deception?

Yes, he suffered in a Communist prison for 14 yrs and was tortured. He said he did it for Christ. But did he do it for Christ…. plus a cause? Are Christians to stand and believe in Christ,  plus a cause? Or to stand and believe in Christ,  plus nothing else? Richard Wurmbrand was a deceiver and false worker.  Suffering does not guarantee that the suffering one has suffered for the Lord Jesus Christ and the TRUTH. When we know, believe, trust that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life, and trust in His finished work on the Cross and Him Crucified, that is the only cause that matters.

No “church” can save you. Any so-called Christian church, whether it be “Protestant” or “Roman Catholic” that teaches that you can’t be saved outside of their “church”, beliefs, doctrines, traditions, or sacraments, is lying against Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior and His Holy Scriptures. Make no mistake, the Holy Scriptures trump all man made doctrines, and traditions of men, and all forms and appearance of godliness.

As soon as I read that passage I knew that I had been given powerful, life-altering truths that would change the way I approached Jesus Christ forever. It was like a sharp double-edged sword of truth had been thrust deeply into my youthful selfishness, pride, greed, and lust. The Bishop exhumed “Luke” for worship

How many Popes, Bishops, Cardinals, Priests.Pastors and other so-called Christian “clergy” can truthfully say the same thing as the Lord Jesus did in this passage?

Bishop Mattiazzo of Padua in Veneto in Italy exhumed the skeleton of claimed “saint Luke”. The skull is used during worship in the local Cathedral.

The Roman Catholic Bishop ordered the skulls and bone sof Luke to be exhumed.
