The Sheep are Feeding the Shepherd

I can’t find any place in the New Testament where pastors were paid a salary. It may have been that some evangelists were supported by the people since they couldn’t hold down full time regular jobs, but there was never any mention in the scriptures of a tithing system expected of the early Christians to pay money, or salaries to any of the apostles, prophets, teachers or pastors. So, the question is…who gave these modern day pastors the right to collect tithes for themselves, and live as wealthy, and in such luxury as the king of a small country, buying…. and flying around the world in private jets, and living in huge lavish mansions at the sheep’s aka laity’s expense? But these spiritually obese “pastors” expect to be well fed, as it has become the accepted model in today’s upside down apostate church.

Some things have never changed since Ezekiel’s time.

3And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say unto them, ‘Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds: Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe yourselves with the wool, ye kill the ones that are fed; but ye feed not the flock.

The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.Ezekiel 34:2-4

Reiki: the Mask that Covers it’s Demonic Purposes

This is not the first warning I have published about the occult dangers of the Reiki religion and practice, but since there have been so many daily views, I feel it’s necessary to post yet more information along with some personal testimonies warning all, including Christians not to become involved with it in any way. I am very serious in warning all of you who are practicing Reiki or receiving Reiki to run from it like your hair was on fire. If you think I don’t know what I’m talking about you would be wrong, I have had all too much experience with demonic oppression and I can assure you that if you could peel away the layers and look into the supernatural realm you would be able to see and feel the hideous, sinister evil presence, rage and hatred the demonic entities have for you and all mankind.

We reveal the spiritual problems and sins, so you can come to repentance, in the name of Jesus!
Because His Word is; “for God did not send the Son in order to judge the world, but that the world might find salvation, and be made safe and sound through Him” (John 3-17)
and if you repent remember; If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1-9)

We love you reikians, this is not about you as a person, we want to warn you about reiki spiritually. We don not condemn you, but are revealing these spiritual problems and sins, so you can repent. We see the destruction of reiki at work and devastated reikians, knocking on our church doors for help. At the end of this page you will find testemonies of saved ex-reikians. That is why we are taking the trouble, the expenses and the time to make this site. We are Christians, because we dedicated our lives to Christ-Jesus. We call you reikians, as you have dedicated your life to reiki, as many reikimasters do. We know that Jesus loves you, just click on “Salvation” and repent for all the sins mentioned on this page afterwards, be blessed with Gods Grace!

1/Reiki is spiritual and it does work, but is not divine, not of Jesus, and not of God (John 14;7). There is a difference between angels and fallen angels (1john4;1-4); there is a difference serving God (Mat4;10), and serving reiki. Between giving honor to God and honoring reiki, after each healing.(Mat.22;37) God Almighty, the Creator, who is our Father and is the Lord Jesus Christ’s Father. He is, is so much more then which you call god; the universe, or cosmos or All there is, universal life force or any name you can think of. He is, God of all Gods, Our Creator (Gen1;1). So, repent!

2/Yes, it is sinful, sitting before a home-made altar (idolatry), with photo’s of dead reikimasters (spiritualism), various objects, candles, incense (honoring spirits), praying and paying for and accepting reiki, thus authorizing a reiki-ritual performance to open the spiritual doorways for reiki energy and their spirits and afterwards serving in gratitude reiki and his reiki spirits. (serving false gods, Ex 20;1-6) So, repent!

3/Did you know that the demon behind the initiating reiki symbol of your reikimaster is called “DIA KO MIO” and is held secret and holy by a reikimaster ? This reikimaster-spirit, which is summoned to open and connect you to reiki as a channel and itself, during the reiki initiations, is the “Phoenix who rises out of the ashes” .A demon who claims to be risen and is clearly not biblical and of Christian nature (1John 4;1-4). Praise God, that Jesus Christ came to set us free and succeeded ! (Mark16;19) So, repent!
If you are a Pastor /Church, go to “salvation-prayer” and you will find more tools concerning reiki for your church !!
!

4/When you use reiki daily, new spiritual doors open and if you give a reiki treatment to someone else, a spiritual doorway is opened in the life of this (unaware) person, through which the reiki spirits will have, or will make more access, to this persons life. So, repent!

5/Yes, reiki works, heals and reveals many things, but after some time, you get in big trouble. Many reikimasters turn like; mentally ill, divorced, financially broke, or severe sick, mostly after some 10- 15 years of mastery. (Rom1;18+21, Rom2;5-9). The reiki alliance has a help line for supporting these sick masters, but no way reiki helps (Mat.12;30+33). So, repent!

6/Yes, reiki is sinful, it is using reiki spirits, fallen angels, it is worshipping false gods, it is in contradiction with Gods Word, its healing people on the short term, but leading them to destruction on the long term, its rebellious to God (Tit1;16) and reiki changes constantly, mixing itself with more occult practices. like witchcraft, various gurus, magic and satanism (Mat12;25,26,27). So, repent!

Are you still sure that you want to be a part of this spiritually ???

So, repent!

Jesus can set you free, He has a answer for all our needs. He loves you dear friend and gave His life for you, that you may know His true unconditional unyielding love. He longs to spend time with you; He accepts you as you are right now.

Jesus Christ already paid the price, there are no rituals, it is just one simple step to receive Him and change your life. Jesus Christ is waiting for your decision right now… you can not tell Him anymore you didn’t know! (Rom2,2)

You can get out right now and get saved… Jesus loves you and wants to help you.

REIKIDANGERS-TESTEMONIES
from saved people through this web site, by the Glory of Jesus; “let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he had redeemed from the hand of the enemy” Ps.107:2

We recieved this letter; ¨God Bless you, I am a re-born Christian, serving the Lord Jesus in the ministry of deliverance and can confirm many of the expieriances shared on this website as true. I have encountered these problems, caused by demons and their spirtitual impact on saved ex-reikians, whilst praying for them on many occasions. The dramatic change in the lives of ex-reikians, I¨ve seen, after Jesus Christ had set them free, was really wunderful. Thank you for publishing this impressive well of information and to proclaim the Truth about reiki. Jesus is Lord and may He save many reikians out of their distresses and bondages, caused by the deceptive healing art of reiki, in Jesus Name we pray with you¨.

Many people around the world are blessed by Jesus Christ and write to us after praying the salvation prayer, here are 7 examples out of many ; Because by the Grace of God we are saved, you can be a great sinner. But Gods Grace is always Greater, through the provisions made on the Cross, by Jesus Christ. He is the only way to come Home to the Father, by the free gift of Mercy to everyone who confesses Jesus with their mouth, repents and turns from sin, will be saved!

1-From Holland; Hi, I have been through a very rough period and this all started in Oct 2006, two days after I did a reiki-1 seminar weekend. It has started to reduce now because in December I got saved. Although I have been a fanatical anti Christian, I came to believe and have faith. I wanted to let you know so you can put this on your web site. Kind regards.
QUESTION Reikidangers: Praise God, I thank the Lord, but could you give some more details?
1-ANSWER; I took a reiki1 weekend with a well known reikimaster in Holland.
During the reiki seminar we noticed that I could give really a lot of reiki, wow!! Right after the reiki seminar a lot of strange things started to appear in my life. Within a few days I changed from a happy “girl” into a depressive zombie. I always was a bit on the edge, but the amount of anger and hate which was in me was indescribable. I started to look for information about what reiki really was and found your web site http://www.reikidangers.com this couldn’t be true!!!!!! The next day I had an appointment with my reikimaster; “this is only a phase of purification” which is normal in the first 3 weeks after a reiki-seminar. No worries! And those Christians, well they are always so negative and short sighted. I went home, quite relieved, but it got even worse, all kind of “things” had an access in me, through the opened reiki channels, the reiki experts said; “just put it in the white light and everything will be okay”. But everything went worse, I saw cats coming out of the wall, I saw a man next to me, who nobody saw except me. Flashes of light that took all kinds of shapes, dead people and spirits who attacked me! At night I heard loud voices who teased me and evil faces starring at me. When I saw 2 demons in my house, I ran to a healer who helped me and charged 500us. She told me that this was a big honor and I was chosen to stop the demonic world, predestined to guide 1000’s of dead people to the light. From that moment on it got worse…………………………. The spirits tried to get me out of my body, to control my thinking; if I fell asleep I woke up because something was in me… on and on and on. But, 2.5 months after reiki, I remembered a book about the work of Jesus Christ, although being anti-Christian, opened it and all the pages turned black!!! WHY CAN’T I SEE THIS? That night before going to sleep, I’ve prayed for the first time to Jesus as Lord and asked for protection and… ALL THE ATTACKS STOPPED!!!!!
Afterwards the attacks came back, and I cried out “GOD HELP ME”…
and I vomited in my car. Now I am in a deliverance program in my Church and dare to be home alone again, wow!!! I know now that the Bible is no little finger who commands us what to do or not, the Bible exits because we have a caring Father who wants us to keep as far away as possible from the devil. The spirit-world is real, but no one- not even the reikimasters have a clue- of what really is going on. ONLY Jesus Christ can help us! If you are, like me, highly sensitive and start a reiki1 weekend, you’re blessed, because you will know that you are dealing with the devil; if not you will reap years and years fruits of darkness. If you really knew from whom the reiki power comes and its plans with you, you would, like me start praying to Jesus Christ to receive the only TRUE LIGHT. I am going through a deliverance program in my Church right now, I want to be baptized, and my loved ones are looking with big eyes to all the changes…. God is so great; otherwise this would have ended differently. Kind regards.

2-from the U.S.A in english; Dear Christians, I got initiated into Reiki (1) in 1994. When the Reiki Master was initiating me into Reiki 1 I felt a strangeness immediately at the time. I taught no more of it and and continued to practice Reiki on myself and some others. In March 1995 I got initiated into Reiki (2) by a different Reiki Master and I heard alot of Anti-christian sayings and Anti-Christ words come from the Reiki Master and I immediately became afraid. About 3-4 weeks later as I was in bed with my eyes closed faces kept appearing for a second before my closed eyes of people. I at the time presumed that these were spirits coming to look at me whilst I was resting or maybe its so long ago Iwas actually doing Reiki when this happened. It did not frighten me but I went back to my original Reiki Master and asked him Reiki is Christian is’nt it. “He said no its not” but the previous Reiki Master was a Bagwan Ramesh devotee. I got my original Reiki Master to initiate me to Reiki 2 again so I would not be conected to the Bagwan Ramesh aspect of Reiki. I had being going out with an Italian girl who I had done Reiki on and I finished with her nothing to do with Reiki but she later got initialed to Reiki 1 so she told me when she rang me from Italy. I met her in 1996 and she was very depressed but she was depressed before she done Reiki 1. I
continued to do Reiki and got iniated to the Reiki Master symbols and other symbols Egyptian and other ones. I felt this energy rising up my back spine and I continued to practice Reiki. Then whilst asleep I would jolt awake with flashes of light in my head. This happened alot and it was only a bit unsettling. Then I met another Reiki Master from USA and she attuned me to another Master Symbol to be used in initiating others. I initated My girl friend but now my wife to Reiki 1 and 2, soon afterwards she had a blazing row with her Father screaming at him over something simple, she told me she would not do Reiki anymore as it felt bad for her. I iniated two people I knew to Reiki 1 and 2, his wife a Buddist from Tailand to Reiki and they started to have rows and arguements as well. I continued to do Reiki and on one occassion after a really powerful self healing Reiki session I got into an arguement in work which i had to apoligise for. After I met a born again Christian who told me about Reikidangers…………………….. I stopped doing Reiki.
Although I always before I did Reiki almost from the begining I always asked Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to protect me from any evil and or negective energy/spirits but that may not have been enough. After my born again Christian friend prayed over me in Tongues I went hame from work and got rid of all my Reiki books and astrology books by tearing them up and throwing them in the rubbish bin. Since then I have heard stories about other Reiki practioneers being attacked phsically whilst doing Reiki on others obviously by Demons.

I have asked God to forgive me in the name of Jesus Christ (as you kindly put on your web page) and have become a Born again Christian. I have always believed very strongly in Jesus Christ but more so now as I realise the real dangers and the tricks that are played on people about Reiki and its origins. I feel reconnicled to God through Jesus Christ. My interest in occult matters really started off around the time i was 17 to 18 years whilst i began taking LSD. I have stopped all that along time ago and I taught Reiki was a way to heal yourself from the bad effects of LSD and also my Ego would have played a part telling people I was a Reiki Healer.
I ask you to pray for me and any people I may have damaged unintentionallly by doing Reiki and initiating them into Reiki…………………………………

3- in English from Australia
Dear Christian friends,
your web site is so valuable and is truly the work of God. When I was born again 2.5 years ago in a beautiful Pentecostal Church here in Australia.. I was a level2 reiki practioners. I gave this away then and there. However after a year reiki merged in to my life again in a very subtle way. I prayed and could not understand why I was led back again to web sites telling me that reiki was O. K.
Through more prayer and time and finally your web site; I am now free from reiki! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ…..the Way, the Truth and the life.

4-a Christain from Holland
God bless you dear writer; I have studied your web site and before I looked at your site I already knew about the dark side of reiki. I was searching for information about the occult side of reiki. Because my sister, who has serious skin-problems and more and more is receiving reiki-treatments from my aunt who is a driven reiki practioner. I find it is striking, because the things you describe are almost a 100% true in her situation ! Only she didn’t see the Light yet and probably doesn’t want to see it. This out of pride. More and more I have discussions with people about reiki and because of my personal involvement, I like to talk with people from my church, too. They seem to be more open for me and believe me on my word. But those who are not going to church, they are very skeptical and like to believe the universal energy-fairy tail. So my question is…….. A.H.-Holland

5- from Canada
God bless you, your web site saved me, I was a christian and was about to take a reiki seminar, but something led me to your web site and the links to what the Bible has to say about reiki…. I came back and closer to the Lord Jesus by repenting and praying. Thank you so much, God is doing a wonderful work through you. Jesus has blessed me so much and I’ve prayed for you, too. Please carry on with your important work. Could you help me in finding a good church, because it was a long time ago that I visited one. I am so happy…..

6-ex-reikian from the Caribean I wanted to thank you, because I am free and met Jesus. I just finished my last seminar and wanted to start working as a professional healer. I was surfing here and was thinking it over on the beach and I came home to find your website reikidangers on the net. I followed all the steps to reikireality, got saved by Jesus and downloaded the deliverance book. For 3 days I prayed this through and I AM SO HAPPY-JESUS LIVES. It feels great to be so happy and everything you write is so true, Jesus is the only Way, the Truth. What….

7 in English; ex-reikimaster from Spain
I bless you in Jesus name and am grateful that finally someone writes the truth about reiki, I wish I had know this many years ago and didn’t had to suffer that much. I was a reikimaster active in almost all of Europe for years. I have experienced many negative things of what reikidangers is putting in writing, I never suspected that reiki had anything to do with it. Then I surrendered to Jesus, was forgiven, got fully baptized and reiki stoppted forever. My pastor and church were very kind and prayed a lot for me. I needed several deliverance sessions to be freed completely from the reiki-spirits and the bondages, which I became through my other occult practices and sins. But now all demonic bondages, rituals and doorways are gone, in Jesus name, and my sins are forgiven. God is Good and Merciful, thank you Jesus. Thank you again for your efforts to preach the Good News of the Gospel and the way to the Truth and Love of God. Thank you for showing the deceived reikians and naive Christians the truth and dangers about using reiki and I do confirm that Jesus Christ is alive!! I would like to ask you to..

8-ENGLISH FROM THE U.S.A.- I just want to thank you for your website. I had been considering learning Reiki but very careful about not wanting to offend God & if it was even of God. I was very leery of the attunement process to begin with and your site just confirmed all this. Many Christian websites and books make it seem very appealing and that this is how Jesus healed. Your website makes perfect sense and in my heart I know that you are right, Reiki is not of God.Thank you, J...

9-From an english Pastor in Spain; “I am not sure who wrote, conceived and actually created the wonderful Christian resource for those who have been involved in Reiki, but it is a superb and uncomplicated, and I trust you will convey my congratulations and thanks. God bless”

The Institutional Church: Them vs Us, the “Unchurched”?

I was recently criticized for my use of the term, “Institutional church”, saying that I was attempting to set up an “them vs us” scenario in this posting?  https://spiritualabusesanctuary.wordpress.com/2015/04/25/are-you-an-isolated-christian/

Well, I had to stop and think about that a bit….was I? Actually, there is an “them vs us” that  exists between us, those who have come out of the organized institutional church system, and those, (them) who are in charge of it, (clergy), and the ones, (them), still participating in, and supporting it…the so-called (laity). But hey, I wasn’t the one who set it up…they did.  However, I have not only pointed out the “them vs us” disparity in that post, but many times in other postings, and will no doubt do so in the future, as the Lord directs.

The question is….what is an institution? And is, what is commonly, but falsely mislabeled “the church” an institution?

Origin of the word, “Institute”:

early 14c., “to establish in office, appoint,” from Latin institutus, past participle of instituere “to set up,” from in- “in” (seein-(2)) + statuere “establish, to cause to stand,” from PIE root *sta- “to stand,” with derivatives meaning “place or thing that is standing” (seestet ). General sense of “set up, found, introduce” first attested late 15c. Related: Instituted ; instituting. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/institute

Frankly, I don’t know how else you could define the present day church other than as a collective institute, since the majority of them are 501C3 tax exempt corporations; http://hushmoney.org/

“It’s impossible to have religious freedom in any nation where the churches are licensed to the government”

Congressman George Hanson, from “In Caesars Grip” by Peter Kershaw

What does “The Institutional Church” mean?

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. “‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ (Revelation 3:1-6)

“In general the institutional church is that form of ecclesiology that has been the traditionally accepted form in Western culture since the Reformation. Furthermore, the Protestant/Evangelical institutional church is by and large a modification of the Roman Catholic institutional church. The theology is radically different but the practices remain much the same: a formal and rigidly scheduled weekly gathering, mute observance by most of the church during that gathering, a ritualistic observance of the Lord’s Supper, a clerical class that is distinguished from the laity by extra-Biblical educational standards and that derives its financial support from the offerings of that same laity, and finally a focus on performance instead of mutual edification. We have removed the authoritarian pope but replaced him with a pastor-centric model that invests an untoward amount of authority and an unsustainable amount of responsibility on the shoulders of one or perhaps a few men.”http://thesidos.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-does-institutional-church-mean.html

Back in the day when I was still “churched” rather than “unchurched”, in a service one day, an old man stood up and yelled, “WHERE’S THE POWER?” He was right! I’ve seen the gifts of the Spirit, and the power that the Holy Spirit had endued good, well meaning Christians with, being diminished, suppressed and quenched, simply by sitting under the church heirarchy and their directives.

A form of godliness, but no power

“With the desecration of the teachings of Jesus comes a lost of power. If you read the gospels and the book of Acts, you’ll find the believers had power to raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, do miracles and, most importantly, overcome sin. But the institutional church has replaced the raw power of God with emotionalism, performance and light shows. This is why the bible also foretells:

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2 Tim 3:1-5) http://letspleasegod.com/2009/11/institutional-church/

It’s Time for the Church to go Out of Business

You’ve heard church folk say, “You can’t put God in a box”

That’s very true, so it makes me wonder why they keep trying to put him in a box? Their box shaped church?

Don’t they know that God doesn’t dwell in a house made with hands?

“However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:

HEAVEN IS MY THRONE,
            AND EARTH IS THE FOOTSTOOL OF MY FEET;
WHAT KIND OF HOUSE WILL YOU BUILD FOR ME?’ says the Lord,
‘OR WHAT PLACE IS THERE FOR MY REPOSE?

Acts 7: 48-49

Are You an “Isolated” Christian?

Are you a Christian who for whatever reason find yourself without fellowship with other Jesus loving, bible believing Christians? Are you a Christian who was perhaps spiritually used and abused in the organized church system? Or did you leave because of false brethren or teachings you encountered in the Institutional church? Or, maybe you were either driven out by persecution, or even brought out by the Lord Jesus Himself as some of us have been? Well, join the ranks…there are many of us who have gone through various and yet similar circumstances and find ourselves isolated from fellowship with other believers, and/or the church system. Take heart and be encouraged because you are not alone.

If we have walked out, or been driven out of the church doors of the organized church, they tend to look at us this way, that we have become disobedient rebels or we would not have left their assemblies:

“Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. 19They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.”

The Institutional church tends to believe that you must “go to church” with them or else you are not a “real” Christian. Friends that mindset is typical of what church folk have been taught, but very well may be upside down from the truth, and quite opposite from what they believe and say. For example, it may be the organized church that departed from the Lord’s remnant believers, or at least a majority of them. Think about it!

In any case, I want to bless and encourage you to continue in the faith and keep seeking the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart. He has not left you by any means. He wants you to trust Him in all things. I know you will be blessed and encouraged by watching and listening to the video I posted. I was 🙂 For you see, I have been “isolated” too, if you want to call it that….I simply think of myself as being “set apart” with Him for His purposes, not “isolated” in that sense or alone, and for possibly just a season. Who knows? I’m just trusting Him with my life daily. You can do the same. He knows all about it and how to work things out in His time and in His way.

Beware of “Christian” Fellowship

Warming a pew, or even a pulpit every Sunday and Wednesday does not make one a Christian

I know what this brother is talking about is truth. I have dealt with this in my own life and walk with the Lord. Someone said to me a few years ago…“You have isolated yourself”. That wasn’t exactly true because what I had done in obedience to the Lord, was leave an apostate church, along with the horrible sins I saw being committed there, all the while they were proclaiming this was a bible believing “spirit filled church”. When I left, I also left all my “Christian” friends whom I had previously fellow-shipped with. I found myself in a peculiar situation. I was now caught between two worlds, neither one of which I could return to without being disobedient to my Lord and Savior;  which was the apostate “church world” and it’s fellowship, and the world and it’s fellowship of sin and so-called pleasure. Frankly, neither one had any appeal to me any longer.

So, I found myself alone. Or was I? Of course not, the Lord Jesus was with me, as He promised….that He would never leave me or forsake me. But what kind of a test was this I wondered? I’ve finally come to the conclusion that this was indeed a test…and the situation I was in, without TRUE and obedient Christian friends. Would I turn back to compromise with sinful “Christians”, or would I turn back to the friendship of the world? Of course, I could do neither one and still be obedient to the Lord Jesus. And…I had no desire to go back anyway. The love of Christ constrained me. I just wanted the Lord Jesus, and He was more than enough to fill my heart and spirit with His love and fellowship. His Grace was more than sufficient in more ways than one.

Even though this has become, in one sense, a very “isolated” life, as far as fellowship and “friends” are concerned, I have found much peace and joy in the solitude the Lord has given me to fellowship with Him. In fact, I have become rather jealous and protective of that time. Maybe He is jealous of me as well, and wants me just for Himself without sharing with other lovers? I have found that like a jealous husband,  He allows me to welcome and minister to others only when He opens the door of opportunity, sends out an invitation… and only then.

We are to desire True Christian fellowship, but what if it’s just not available? We can’t be friends with the world or worldly Christians and that’s just the way it is. The Lord Jesus will fill every need in His own way and His own time. Trust Him and don’t try to run ahead, and expect Him to add His signature to what you want. He has a purpose in whatever situation you may find yourself.

Although the “church” folk around claim I am back-slidding  because I disobeyed the commandment of Hebrews 10:25 which to them means that you have to be present every time there is a church service.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

This is nonsense if the “church service” amounts to allowing sin and sinful Christians to freely operate with impunity and not even a raised eyebrow because they all think they’re in obedience. Crazy? Yes, because the Lord Jesus has plainly told us in the scriptures NOT to fellowship with “Christians” operating openly, (or even covertly), in sin:

I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13But those who are outside, God judges. Remove that wicked man from among yourselves. 1Cor5

So, were these “Christians” that I left behind removing any wicked people from their assembly, or even addressing their own sinful disobedience? No, in fact, they were embracing it!

If we are to be truly obedient to the Lord Jesus, we are going to have to make some sacrifices and possibly to suffer for it. but we must take up our own crosses, whatever they may be to follow the Lamb…because He’s Worth it, whatever the cost, and it may cost you everything you once held dear.

“Do not be like those who fall for the Christian fellowship trap. They are under the impression and teaching that you must have fellowship otherwise you are not a true Christian. The problem is when people think they must have fellowship and seek fellowship they end up getting with the wrong people. They start listening to man and not to God and Satan uses those around them to distract them to cause them to stumble. To take their eyes off Jesus Christ. You see we do not need fellowship to enter the kingdom. We need fellowship WITH JESUS CHRIST. That is who we need fellowship with. If you do not have fellowship with Jesus Christ and you die, your name will not be found written in the lambs book of life. He only writes names in that book, of those who abide in him, they have fellowship with him and he has fellowship with them. When we have fellowship with Jesus, his blood cleanses us from all sin because we are walking in oneness and unity with Jesus Christ.

But the problem with many Christians today, is that they seek fellowship, but those of whom they seek fellowship with, are living in sin and they condone sin and so they fellowship with those who are workers of darkness and this fellowship destroys the faith of many. It is written not to associate with those who profess Christ but live in sin. So when you go along to your church and there is all these people interested in the latest sport news, then you know that there is no fellowship there for you unless you want to break the rules and start having fellowship with darkness. The road of a disciples is a lonely road. You are not going to meet many people who put Jesus first and who are only interested in what Jesus wants them to do. You are going to meet them here and there and then you will have fellowship, but you will not find much fellowship because for instance the early disciples like Paul and Peter spent a lot of time alone or with one or two other brothers.

They got the gospel from Christ from fellowship WITH Christ. Paul spent a lot of time alone in the desert getting to know Jesus. A lot of the time he suffered alone, and the died alone. Paul wrote not to forsake gathering with those of the true faith, that is true, but the problem is with this day and age is that people don’t want to have fellowship with Jesus. They seek fellowship with man and that is why they start getting disappointed because they start listening to man and then man lets them down and they start to blame God because of man’s failure and they end up in the darkness, because they allowed themselves to be ruined by all this fellowship. What fellowship do you have today?

There is only one fellowship that counts and that is getting your relationship sorted out and straightened out with Lord Jesus Christ. If you don’t get that fellowship straightened out, you will not be able to benefit anyone who is in need of Jesus. And when you do walk with the Lord, he will help you to provide the right kind of fellowship that leads people to be disciples of Jesus. Not just fellowships of friends where you just waste time and start sinning with your words and start being foolish in the world. That is the unfortunate situation in many churches. Seek the right fellowship before it is too late. Jesus bless you.”.My site at http://www.robertlyte.yolasite.com

Are Tares Really Supposed to Grow up in the Church?

How many times have you heard someone in the church say something to this effect, “Let the wheat and the tares grow up together”? I have. It’s become what one might call a man made tradition in the church. Why is that? Well, because when used in that context, what church folk mean, is that we are supposed to allow the tares…in the church…remain there, and then at harvest time, the LORD will do the separating himself.

OK, that may seem very spiritual of these church going Christians, but…is that what Jesus really taught? I’ve gone over this teaching a number of times, and I can’t find one scripture reference that indicates that tares are supposed to be allowed to grow in the church, which is supposed to be the Body of Christ. Why in the world would Jesus want tares in the church when He already taught that a little leaven spoils the entire lump?

Lets look at the scripture where Jesus explains the meaning of the parable, from Matthew 13:

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

So, you see, the LORD clearly explains where the tares have been sown;….the field is the world.

Of course it is true that these worldly evil tares were seed that had been sown by the enemy, Satan, and many have infiltrated the church, the Body of Christ. But it is not true that it’s the will of the LORD for them to be allowed to remain there and bear unhealthy fruit.

Most of us have heard the description and characteristics of tares, but what kind of bad fruit do they produce?

The tare weed, otherwise known as bearded Darnel has poisonous properties. It hasn’t been decided whether the seeds themselves contain the poison, or if it originates from a fungus that usually infects the plant. However, if darnel is ingested, or makes its way into bread, it produces an array of unpleasant symptoms. Ancient Greeks and Romans used darnel medicinally to induce a sedative effect. It produces multiple symptoms of drunkenness, such as drowsiness, hypnotic episodes, trembling, inability to walk, hindered speech, vomiting, giddiness, and lowered visual acuity. It can even stimulate convulsions and death if taken in quantities large enough.

That doesn’t sound like very beneficial seed, or fruit to me. So, it seems obvious that although these seeds grow wild in the world, they shouldn’t be allowed to be planted in the church, as these man made church traditions claim, “let the wheat and the tares grow up together “.

Friends, this is why, again, it’s so important to study and understand what the Word of God is actually saying, because as you can see, this particular one can have serious effects if allowed to take root and grow in the church, the Bride of Christ, that is supposed to be without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
If something as simple as this parable can be so distorted, can you imagine how twisted some of the less easily understood scripture passages can be?

Has the Church Embraced the Mindset of Sharia Law in Abuse Cases?

A Cry For Justice

In 2008, the United Nations condemned the stoning to death of a 13 year old girl for fornication. Her crime? She was gang raped and then sentenced to death by a Sharia court.

In 2013, a Norwegian woman was visiting Dubai on business and was raped by a Muslim man. When she reported the rape, she was arrested, tried and convicted by a Sharia court. She was sentenced to jail time before finally being pardoned by the Dubai monarch.

In Bangladesh, raped women are often convicted by Sharia courts for the crime of being raped.

What does this have to do with A Cry For Justice and abuse, you may ask? Isn’t the focus of this site about domestic abuse and the handling of it by church leaders?  Yes, it is; however, what I wish to show is how the way the church often deals with abuse, and those who divorce because of…

Spiritual High Horses and Sacred Cows

sacred cow barbeque

Let’s have a Sacred Cow Barbeque!

Christians riding on a high horse of pride are religious narcissists. And you know what the bible says about pride. Falling off such a prideful high horse is going to be mighty painful in the end if not dealt with. I would venture to say that the Christian leadership of “Big Box Preachers” in today’s mainstream church is the most obvious example of ego’s on steroids, having exalted themselves far above, and too often apart from the common folks sitting in the pews hanging on their every word.

I remember a few years ago, when a certain rock star preacher had come into town and was hyping his latest best selling block buster book at a local church, a neighbor of mine who followed all the latest preachers du jour told me that she and a friend had gotten a front row seat at this meeting. All starry eyed, she excitedly exclaimed, “Just imagine…there we were, sitting just THAT CLOSE to Mr. Super Saint, (not his real name of course). OK, so….here we have a woman holding a sacred cow, “Mr. Super Saint, in total mind boggling adoration. Hey, this was just a MAN.  And so, he had written a best selling “Christian” book, not the Ten Commandments. In any case, from what I was able to discern, Mr.Super Saint himself was riding high on his own high horse, getting lots of attention and speaking engagements, TV time, and of course….lots of money. And by the way, although his book was a best seller in popular Christian circles, it was loaded with false teachings. just as many of the latest Christian fads seem to be….and Christians do seem to develop fads for some mysterious reason…following after the latest self help book or doctrine. This seems to be a pretty common tell tale sign of having the “itching ears”syndrome. Can’t sit still until some new doctrine or teaching comes along. The only cure for this disease is repentance and getting back into Bible study, prayer and walking the walk.

Oh, and Mr.Super Saint’s books and doctrines are now being denounced by the very AOG and Southern Baptist denominations that promoted them, and him, in the first place. Don’t Christians read their bibles anymore? Enough to stop following these Sacred Cows on high horses? OH, maybe if we barbequed our own Sacred Cows and spiritual idolatry, pride, ego and self, we would be able to have eyes that see and ears that hear more clearly. At least, we should deal with any spiritual pride that clouds our judgment to the extent that we begin to feel we can’t be led astray and deceived by those who seem to be somebody in the Christian realm. Just because someone is a big shot preacher with a lot of followers means very little. We need to “let them decrease, and allow Christ to increase”. There is no bigger, grander, more powerful or truthful, greater or more magnificent teacher than Christ.

A little teaching on the spiritual narcissism of pride:

Undetected Spiritual Pride
One Cause of Failure in Times of Great Revival

by Jonathan Edwards
The first and worst cause of errors that abound in our day and age is spiritual pride.  This is the main door by which the devil comes into the hearts of those who are zealous for the advancement of Christ.  It is the chief inlet of smoke from the bottomless pit to darken the mind and mislead the judgement.

Pride is the main handle by which he has hold of Christian persons and the chief source of all the mischief that he introduces to clog and hinder a work of God.  Spiritual pride is the main spring or at least the main support of all other errors.  Until this disease is cured, medicines are applied in vain to heal all other diseases.

It is by spiritual pride that the mind defends and justifies itself in other errors and defends itself against light by which it might be corrected and reclaimed.  The spiritually proud man thinks he is full of light already and feels that he does not need instruction, so he is ready to ignore the offer of it.

On the other hand, the humble person is like a little child who easily receives instruction.  He is cautious in his estimate of himself, sensitive as to how liable he is to go astray.  If it is suggested to him that he is going astray, he is most ready to check into the matter.

Nothing sets a Christian so much out of the devil s reach than humility and so prepares the mind for divine light without darkness.  Humility clears the eye to look at things as they truly are.  Psalm 25:9—He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way.

If spiritual pride is healed, other things are easily corrected.  Our first care should be to correct the heart and pull the beam of pride out of our eye and then we shall see clearly.

Growing Christians Beware!

Those who are most zealous in the cause of God are the most likely to be targeted as being filled with pride.  When any person appears, in any respect, to be noticeably excelling others in his Christian walk, odds are ten to one that it will immediately awaken the jealousy of those about him.

They will suspect (whether they have good reason or not) that he is very proud of his goodness and that he probably thinks no one as good as he is, so that everything he says and does is observed with this prejudice.

Those who are themselves cold and dead, and especially those who have never had any experience of the power of godliness on their own hearts, will easily entertain such thoughts of the best Christians.  This arises from nothing less than a secret hostility against essential and fervent holiness.

But the zealous Christian should take heed that this does not prove a snare to him, and the devil take advantage of it to blind his eyes from beholding the true nature of his heart and to think that because he is charged with pride wrongfully and with an unkind spirit, that such charges are not sometimes valid.

Alas, how much pride the best have in their hearts!  It is the worst part of the body of sin and death; the first sin that ever entered into the universe and the last that is rooted out.  It is God s most stubborn enemy!

Pride: a Secret Enemy

Pride is much more difficult to be discerned than any other corruption because of its very nature.  That is, pride is a person having too high an opinion of himself.  Is it any surprise, then, that a person who has too high an opinion of himself is unaware of it?  His thinking is that he thinks that the opinion he has of himself has just grounds and therefore is not too high.  If the grounds of the opinion of himself crumbled, he would cease to have such an opinion.

But, because of the nature of spiritual pride, it is the most secret of all sins.  There is no other matter in which the heart is more deceitful and unsearchable and there is no other sin in the world that men are so confident in. The very nature of it is to work self-confidence and drive away any suspicion of any evil of that kind.  There is no sin so much like the devil as this for secrecy and subtlety, and appearing in great many shapes that are undetected and unsuspected.

Spiritual pride takes many forms and shapes, one under another, and encompasses the heart like the layers of an onion: when you pull off one, there is another underneath.  Therefore, we have need to have the greatest watch imaginable over our hearts with respect to this matter and to cry most earnestly to the great Searcher of hearts for His help.  He that trusts his own heart is a fool.

Since spiritual pride in its own nature is so secret, it cannot be so well discerned by immediate intuition on the thing itself.  It is best identified by its fruits and effects, some of which I will make mention of below together with the contrary fruits of Christian humility.

Pride: the Great Fault-finder

Spiritual pride causes one to speak of other persons  sins, their enmity against God and His people, or with laughter and levity and an air of contempt, while pure Christian humility disposes either to be silent about them or to speak of them with grief or pity.

The spiritually proud person shows it in his finding fault with other saints, that they are low in grace and how cold and dead they are, and are quick to discern and take notice of their deficiencies.  The eminently humble Christian has so much to do at home and sees so much evil in his own that he is not apt to be very busy with other hearts.

He complains most of himself and complains most of his own coldness and lowness in grace.  He is apt to esteem others as better than himself and is ready to hope that most everybody has more love and thankfulness to God than he, and cannot bear to think that others should bring forth no more fruit to God s honor than he.

Some who have spiritual pride mixed with great learning and joy, earnestly speaking to others about them, are likely to be calling upon other Christians to emulate them and sharply reprove them for their being so cold and lifeless.

There are others who are overwhelmed with their own vileness, and when they have extraordinary discoveries of God’s glory, they are taken up by their own sinfulness.  Though they are disposed to speak much and very earnestly, yet it is very much in blaming themselves and exhorting fellow Christians, but in a loving and humble manner.

Pure Christian humility causes a person to take notice of everything that is good in others, to make the best of it and to diminish their failings; however, he turns his eye chiefly on those things that are bad in himself and to take much notice of everything that aggravates them.

Pride: Ministering in a Harsh Spirit

It has been the manner of spiritually proud persons to speak of almost everything they see in others in the most harsh, severe language.  It is frequent with them to say of other’s opinion, conduct, advice, coldness, silence, caution, moderation, prudence, etc. that they are from the devil or from hell.

Such kind of language they will commonly use, not only towards wicked men, but towards those who are true children of God and also towards ministers of the gospel and others who are very much their superiors.  Christians who are but fellow-worms ought at least to treat one another with as much humility and gentleness as Christ treats them.

Pride: Putting on Pretenses

Spiritual pride often causes persons to act different in external appearance, to effect a different way of speaking, to use a different sort of dialect from others, or to be different in voice, countenance or behavior.  But he that is an eminently humble Christian, though he will be firm in his duty, however different — going the way of heaven alone, though all the world forsake him — yet he does not delight in being different for difference s sake.

He does not try to set himself up to be viewed and observed as one distinguished, as desiring to be accounted better than others — despising their company or conformity to them — but on the contrary, desires to become all things to all men, to yield to others and conform to them and please them in all but sin.

Pride: Takes Offense Easily

Spiritual pride takes great notice of opposition and injuries that are received and is prone to be often speaking of them and to be much in taking notice of their aggravation, either with an air of bitterness or contempt.

Pure and unmixed Christian humility, on the other hand, causes a person to be more like his blessed Lord when reviled: quiet, not opening his mouth, but committing himself in silence to Him who judges righteously.  For the humble Christian, the more the world is against him, the more silent and still he will be, unless it is in his prayer closet, and there he will not be still.

Pride: Presumption Before God and Man

Another effect of spiritual pride is a certain self-confident boldness before God and men.  Some, in their great rejoicing before God, have not paid sufficient regard to that rule in Psalm 2:11 — Worship the Lord with reverence, and rejoice with trembling.

They have not rejoiced with a reverential trembling, in a proper sense of the awful majesty of God and the awful distance between Him and them.  There has also been an improper boldness before men that has been encouraged and defended by a misapplication of Proverbs 29:25 — The fear of man brings a snare…  It is as though it became all persons, high and low, men, women and children in all Christian conversation to wholly abandon all manner of modesty or reverence toward man.

Not that any should refrain from Christian conversation, but with such humility as in I Peter 3:15—But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.

Pride: Hungry for Attention

Another effect of spiritual pride is to make the subject of it want attention.  People often tend to act in a special manner as though others ought to take great notice and regard of them.  It is very natural to a person that is very much under the influence of spiritual pride to take all the respect that is paid to him.

If others show a disposition to submit to him and yield in deference to him, he is open to it and freely receives it.  It becomes natural for him to expect such treatment and to take much notice if a person fails to do so, and to have an ill opinion of those who do not give him that which he feels he deserves.

One under the influence of spiritual pride is more apt to instruct others than to inquire for himself and so naturally puts on the airs of control.  The eminently humble Christian thinks he needs help from everybody, whereas he that is spiritually proud thinks everybody needs his help.  Christian humility, under a sense of other’s misery, entreats and beseeches, but spiritual pride tries to command and warn with authority.

Pride: Neglecting Others

As spiritual pride causes persons to assume much to themselves, so it treats others with neglect.   On the contrary, pure Christian humility disposes persons to honor all men as from I Peter 2:17. To enter into disputes about Christianity is sometimes unseasonable, such as in meeting for Christian conference or for exercises of worship.

Yet, we ought to be very careful that we do not refuse to converse with carnal men, as though we counted them not worthy to be regarded.  On the contrary, we should condescend to carnal men as Christ has condescended to us, to bear with our unteachableness and stupidity.
