Bread for the Bride

There are two ways to view scripture.  Either it’s the word of God to humankind infused with the living Spirit of God whose fruit is always abundant life, or it’s the dead letter of religious law-keeping, the fruit of which is always condemnation and spiritual death.  The first view is rooted in the sure knowledge of New Covenant grace and redemption by Christ’s Blood.  The second is rooted in an Old Covenant mindset of legalism that has failed to grasp the difference between the letter of the law and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 3:6;  Rom. 8:2

One area in which these two opposing views continually clash is in the area of women’s role in church and home life.  As soon as one voice is raised encouraging women into ministry and/or leadership on an equal footing with their brothers…

Domestic Abuse in Christian Marriages- Bug Out Plan

I’ve known a few women who’ve worn their abuse like a sort of perverse “badge of honor”, as if it proved them to be  more courageous and somehow spiritually “righteous” by staying in a horribly abusive marriage. This can be a weird sort of pride and spiritual masochism, and it’s not conducive to the wife’s own spiritual growth, or…that of her abuser, who may view his wife/ victims staying in the marriage as a sign she deserved the abuse. Only when the woman gathers the emotional and spiritual sensibility to remove herself, and get out, can she begin to heal and move forward in her own spiritual growth.  And now,  with his victim removed from the scene of the crime, only then is her abuser able to get the memo that he needs to start looking within himself, not her, as the source of his problems.

Women, you are not doing your spouse any favors by allowing this behavior on the part of your husband to continue by staying with him indefinitely! On the contrary, there is a good possibility that you may need to get out of God’s way and allow Him to deal with your abusive husband. Many a good wife has found herself in the middle between a man and God and what God is trying to accomplish in that man’s life, and by refusing to leave finds herself getting hurt! And….God will allow it if that’s what she decides to do!

This is not being selfish on the wife’s part by leaving a serial abuser. It amounts to taking an active part in changing her life, and that of her husband…even though she may never choose to go back into the marriage.

Often men have no motivation to change until a crisis occurs. The “crisis” may have to be that of his wife removing herself from an intolerable situation… leaving him.  However, the object here is not to make a move in order to “change” one’s husband, it’s a matter of being safe,  spiritually, emotionally and physically. An abusive man, after all,  is unstable in all his ways.

Can a verbally abusive man suddenly turn violent? You had better understand that yes, of course he can. But know this as well, that verbal abuse can be just as bad or worse than physical abuse. Just ask any woman who has experienced it.

I’ve recently had a friend tell me, “Well, God hasn’t told me to leave”. I’ve tried to reason with her. But, after all, it is her marriage and she’s going to have to be the one to make decisions about whether to stay or to leave.  After 22 yrs of marriage to this man, it’s not likely that suddenly he’s going to see the truth of what he’s doing in a bolt from the blue. And, what he has been doing is telling her that she’s the one who is mistreating him! Eaten up with self pity, he lashes at her verbally saying the most cruel and downright viscous remarks. He not only orders her around like his personal slave, treating her like a dog, but then accuses his slave of being the one who is inflicting pain upon him.Keeping her on a never ending emotional roller coaster.

It’s simply crazy, and I fear for her. I will talk to her more and try to get through her spiritual “church conditioning” that has instilled in her that she “submit”, no matter what,  to ask her if she believes God hasn’t told her to leave, if that means he has told her to stay, by this supposed silence on God’s part. Maybe, just maybe, God is leaving it up to her.

I really believe she is listening more to her conditioning than she is hearing from God.

When an abused wife starts thinking of suicide as a way out of an abusive marriage, it’s already past time to make an exit and get some help! Leaving is not a sign of failure or weakness.

” And as they sought to stone Jesus, He went through the midst of them.” Jesus is the Savior, not us. We can’t “save” our spouses. If we have somehow found ourselves in an abusive relationship or marriage, we need a spiritual bug out plan.

Peaceful Single Girl

I am getting SO MANY EMAILS from wives where marriages are in total ruin because of sexual sin – that I am hoping to address these issues for those of you who are not married yet, praying that God might help you find His path that leads to abundant life NOW and that you might avoid many of the pitfalls that so many of your married sisters in Christ are falling into.

God’s good  general design for families is that children should grow up with godly parents – a married mother and father – who love and respect each other, who obey God’s Word, who love God above all else in life, who honor the marriage relationship, who are passionate about God, each other and their children, who raise their children to know and love God and who model godly behavior, attitudes and dialogue every day for thousands and thousands…

Counseling Christian Women on How to Deal With Domestic Violence

More in our series Christian Women and Domestic Violence

This book takes a very real look into the lives of Christian women who cope with domestic abuse on a daily basis. It explores their experiences of physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, financial, and spiritual abuse at the hands of their perpetrator husbands who claim themselves to be good Christians. Through extensive interviews combined with academic research, the reader comes faces to face with the complexity of issues surrounding such domestic abuse and how counseling can be effective through the encouragement of a variety of religious and non-religious coping strategies.

Of interest to victims of domestic abuse, as well as to the members of the clergy, psychologists, and counsellors, Counseling Christian Women on How to Deal With Domestic Violence shows there is a place in the Christian church for women to separate and to be divorced without losing their faith.

Christian Women and Domestic Violence

I’ve been getting many inquiries from Christian women on the subject of domestic violence  in the home.  For that reason I will be starting a series on this issue which has been so misunderstood and caused so much pain to so many good Christian women who were endeavoring to both love and honor their husbands, and their Savior through obedience to the Word of God.

We’ll begin with a study of “The Great Ecclesiastical Conspiracy”

The article above in text form.

Both Christian men as well as women need to study this epic teaching. It is in-YouTube Video form as well. It explains that King James himself had a vested interest in making sure that certain words were put in this translation.  Words like”rule”  and “submit” were intended to reinforce his headship and control over his kingdom. It’s only when we become aware of the truth that it has the power to set us free from the shackles of legalism. The Lord said, “My people perish for lack of knowledge”. Knowledge of what?  God’s Word!
Indeed, knowledge is power. Let’s make sure we are armed with the truth so that we will not succumb to the lies and deception. As one of the Lord’s sheep, even though your pastor or husband is bound by man-made doctrines and traditions of men, of legalistic teachings, by studying the truth, prayer and fasting, you will not have to be. Jesus said to those disciples who believed him, “If you will continue in My Word, then you will be my disciple indeed and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” Jesus and his pure doctrine supersedes the faulty, unloving notions of men.

This is HARD!! Many will not be able to hear this at all!

Is it really possible that the Authorized King James Version of the Bible was INTENTIONALLY DOCTORED to reinforce and support a “priest class” and institutional, political hierarchies. The Protestant Reformation didn’t go far enough. It didn’t really eliminate the temple worship and priest class, it just put a nicer face on it.

This explains why things are this bad. It explains why most of this thing we call “Christianity” is in fact, not at ALL what Jesus had in mind. This explains why so many are being abused in a “system” that was NEVER what God designed in the first place.

This is the audio version of the free E-book available at and . MANY other resources available.

Repent. The days are short. The Babylonian mystery religions have consumed nearly all the “churches”.

The Lord is crying out, “Come out of her, my people!”

Run for the hills. You and Jesus are sufficient. Let HIM be your teacher.

My Story of an Encounter with an Abusive  Christian misogynist:
I hadn’t been posting much for quite some time. Looking over the web offerings, I figured there were enough sites to offer help, warning and healing for those who had just come out of spiritually abusive situations, or….were still in one, and looking for answers. I was wrong. Just when you think there is nothing new to add, some new abuse presents its ugly head, or perhaps an old abuse presenting itself in a new and novel way. So…I guess it’s time to fire up the blog once again.

I post quite a few resources offering “other” folks help, warnings, etc…but this time it happened to be me that got spiritually stung and hurt…again. Me, who should know better how to avoid such situations and people. Me, who has had her guard up and warns others about how to avoid snares, spiritual abuse and the pain that goes along with it. So….how and where did it happen? On an Internet voice over chat room called PalTalk. PalTalk has a fabulous potential for interaction with other Christians, but it can also be a very dangerous place, especially for vulnerable believers who have been isolated, and left abusive church fellowships and/or even been rejected by friends for leaving these churches.

What happened was that I had been visiting, with great caution, spiritual radar detector turn on, a few spiritual chat rooms and had begun to meet a few people there I felt fairly comfortable with and that seemed to be mature Christians with a healthy grasp of scripture and sound doctrine. This seemed to be a godsend because I was needing the fellowship with like minded believers…perhaps more than even I recognized at the time. However, Satan, never a day late or a dollar short, recognized it and I now believe I was set up for a hurt. Looking back, thank God it was only a hurt and not something much worse.

I had been listening to a man who seemed to be above average in godly wisdom and experience. A really interesting man as well, who I’d seen in various Christian chat rooms, sometimes speaking, or other times posting comments and scripture. We began to cross paths, and he developed an interest in me. To be frank, I was both flattered and also, a bit in awe of this guy. This was filling a need in me for fellowship after having been isolated for so long after leaving the apostate church. We were on the same page…..or so I thought.

After about a month of meeting in various chat rooms, and also spending long hours in private chat rooms, sharing and talking about God, and our experiences, what we had in common, laughing, and praying, I began to trust this man and let my guard down. Something I haven’t done in a long time, and I’m not sure I realized just how much I opened up to this man at the time.

With male, female relationships in any realm, there is always the issue of dominance, but especially in the spiritual realm of Christianity and God ordained authority. I’m not going to get into the scriptural aspects by posting scripture on here. Most of you reading this blog are already aware of what the bible has to say about it. As for me, I don’t have a problem with allowing men to be men, and the authority figure in spiritual relationships………as long as they don’t abuse it, and in the process, begin to abuse me. I am God’s and he is and always will be my husband and the final authority.

If a person has been spiritually abused they will usually be very guarded about boundaries. With me, this is extremely true. Very guarded, even with women. God has given me a level of discernment through hours of prayer, tears, and experience that I am very grateful for. But experience is very expensive in terms of having gone through situations and learning from them, (as you learn not to stick your hand in the fire after the first time, or take fire to your bosom and expect not to get burned).

With abusers, somehow they have the uncanny ability to avoid being detected at the very beginning of an encounter with their victims. Even when one has developed a level of spiritual discernment, if they have an opening, such as loneliness, or need for fellowship, as I did, they are fair game for a predator to slip through the boundary and get inside where they can do damage.

So, to describe the scenario further, there was no question of a romantic relationship developing, so that seemed to make this friendship safer where I could relax and enjoy this mutual love of God with this man…He was well read in the scriptures, and shared many spiritual experiences that gave me no reason to doubt or be afraid of him. For the most part, I felt safe, and anyway, wasn’t I a safe distance from him in PalTalk. How could this godly man possibly hurt me? But in all relationships, sooner or later, traits will begin manifesting. One of the first “disagreements” I had with this man, was over the issue of misogyny. He was adamant that women were the worse abusers of men, and that men were “just as” or more abused than women. In fact, he was a little too adamant about it…to the point that I might have thought at the time he was a misogynist himself, a closet woman-hater. Little did I know at the time, just how right on my discernment radar was absolutely spot on. But……I chose to ignore it, but the red flag was up.

The saying goes that women have a high level of intuition, and I think there is something to this…..but especially true with spiritfilled women who have spent much time in the scriptures and in prayer. In any case, the red flag was up.

Sooner or later, a persons true colors will manifest, as the scriptures say, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”. On PalTalk, for those who aren’t familiar with it, there is a way to talk directly to a person, just like you would talk to them on the phone. Also, there is a way to text little messages to a person, or leave notes for them. So, what happened next between me and my new spiritual friend is this, I’d left a text note for him to read later. The note was a short synopsis of my understanding of “Paul’s thorn in the flesh” and I wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I told him if he agreed with this to just disregard my note. What happened was that he didn’t read or understand what I’d said in my text note, and became irate, accusing me of “being a rebellious woman in the church and one of those women who usurp male authority in the church”, as well as some other accusatory, nasty and overweening remarks aimed directly at me. This floored me, and cut to the quick. I was not only astonished but felt attacked and falsely accused…..which I was.

I have been abused by both women as well as men in the church, but this frankly, was a new experience. I had let my guard down and this woman hating predator got through the door. I sent him a note in text, politely explaining my position and that in no way was I or ever had been a rebellious woman seeking to usurp male authority.
He sent back a lame excuse. I began trying to quietly shy away from him. The trust had been broken. However, not satisfied he came back and contacted me again and began criticizing me, telling me what I should think, what I should do, and “to obey”, not exactly explaining whom I should “obey”, but rather indirectly indicating it should be him.

By this time, I am wanting out. And also by this time, his true colors are showing and he is in full attack, wolf mode and begins to rip me up, telling me everything, (in his opinion), that I’ve done wrong, and what is wrong with me, and that I’m not really “walking in the spirit”.

After this last attack, I sent him back a note saying that Jesus would never talk to me, or treat me the way he did, and that I was not going to accept being spiritually abused in this way. After that, apparently he realized he was not going to be able to dominate me or manipulate me, and so sent back a hateful note with more accusations telling me I was not willing to accept “admonition”, (a handy buzz word for handing you your lunch), and then blocked me from further contact with him, as if that were going to be a problem for me. I was grateful it was over. However…there was the aftermath to deal with.

The aftermath was and is the old spiritual wounds this man left in his wake. Old wounds from the past abuse I thought were healed and now have found out they were still lurking under the surface, and this man ripped them open again. Now, I am praying,Jesus, just please come and love me, comfort me, heal me once again. And LORD, I thank you that you revealed to me what was going on, and that I have the right not to obey mean and cruel commands set up by those assuming false authority in your name. Or accept down in my heart false accusations of wrong doing, by those who would make sad those you haven’t made sad. And also, Jesus, I don’t know who or what made this man the way he is, but please convict him, heal him but keep him from hurting anyone else this way”.

Friends, there is a reason for having healthy boundaries in our lives and guarding our inner circle. Please pray for wisdom and discernment in all your relationships. There are spiritual abusers out there who will cut your soul down to the roots if you allow them to. If you see you’ve opened the door to one of these…back out, run away quickly and never forget to ask the Lord Jesus Christ for help and protection. He is our gentle and good shepherd. He is our protection from wolves that wish to rip us to shreds, and He will never do anything to spiritually hurt and wound us.

Corrie Ten Boom Speaks of the Tribulation and the Rapture (video)

YouTube video: Corrie Ten Boom speaks of the Tribulation and the Rapture

Corrie Ten Boom on
the Rapture of the Church.

Corrie Ten Boom’s letter of 1974 is shown below . She comments on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture view which is popular today. She relays a word of warning to us in the West from the Suffering Church in China. She exhorts us to prepare ourselves spiritually in Christ, in His Holy Word, and by His Holy Spirit for the coming trials of our faith. She tells of the Chinese Church in a former time being misinformed, unwarned, and ill-prepared for he persecutions that began in 1949 under Mao Tse Tung’s Red Guards. In this letter Corrie warns that Christians in the West today are in danger of falling into a similar disaster born of ecclesiastical neglect and the resultant spiritual unpreparedness. Corrie, in classic Dutch directness plainly states that those who teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture are among the false teachers Jesus warned us about. See Mat.24:4-5).

Jesus went on to say that towards the end of this age His followers would be called upon to take the stand for Him. They would testify before kings and rulers. See Luke 21:12-19. However today’s indulged Western Christians don’t seem to have considered that the people Jesus was referring to might be them.

So Corrie’s message here is “a word to the wise”. It should be regarded by all serious Christians as crucially important information. Without this “heads-up” Christians in the West will be left unprepared. They are unwittingly being set up for a fall, even a Great Falling Away or a Great Apostasy.

This is most unfortunate. We serve a loving God who has promised to keep His covenant people from the wrath to come. But He does tell them that ‘in this world you will have tribulation’ which is entirely different.

Christian believers in China and elsewhere know and understand these things implicitly. They understand and accept blood covenant Christianity. These dear saints have entered into a serendipity. It is something which we in the Western Laodicean Church know little about right now. But our brothers and sisters in the Suffering Church over in places abroad are traveling up on that higher pathway, that Highway of Holiness. (Isa. 35) Theses dear saints are not trying to avoid the Way of the cross. So, why should we be angry at this message or offended by this High Calling?

The wonderful testimony of Corrie Ten Boom and her sister Betsy was this.

“There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.”
“God will give us the love to be able to forgive our enemies”.

Like King David Corrie testifies of the wonderful presence of God in times of trial and testing. He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. The bread and the wine of the Eternal Covenant is presented there on the table before us. A true bride is more than just a passive purchased concubine. She is vitally involved in the covenant issues of her Family, the Covenant People of the God of Israel. A true bride will not balk at the bridal witness. She will sign on with her Bridegroom and stand as witness to Him, come what may.

This is a devotional matter of the heart first and foremost. It is not just a matter of the intellect. The true Bride of the Lamb will take the cup and drink it with thr One she loves. The Bride co-signs the marriage document along with her Bridegroom. Then she goes on to seal it in the devotion to which she may be called. She does not know what her future may hold from that point on. This is the ultimate reality of the Christian faith, the high adventure, and the true romance of the high calling. This happens before she is snatched away in the harpazo to arrive at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. And so she enters the mansions of glory in the New Jerusalem with her Bridegroom. Our God is faithful. And the lovingkindness He extends towards His covenant people is from everlasting to everlasting.

Here is Corrie’s letter.
Her message has been entitled,
We might also entitle it,

– (This is from a letter Corrie wrote in 1974)

“The world is deathly ill. It is dying. The Great Physician has already signed the death certificate. Yet there is still a great work for Christians to do. They are to be streams of living water, channels of mercy to those who are still in the world. It is possible for them to do this because they are overcomers.
Christians are ambassadors for Christ. They are representatives from Heaven to this dying world. And because of our presence here, things will change.

My sister, Betsy, and I were in the Nazi concentration camp at Ravensbruck because we committed the crime of loving Jews. Seven hundred of us from Holland, France, Russia, Poland and Belgium were herded into a room built for two hundred. As far as I knew, Betsy and I were the only two representatives of Heaven in that room.

We may have been the Lord’s only representatives in that place of hatred, yet because of our presence there, things changed. Jesus said, “In the world you shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” We too, are to be overcomers – bringing the light of Jesus into a world filled with darkness and hate.

Sometimes I get frightened as I read the Bible, and as I look in this world and see all of the tribulation and persecution promised by the Bible coming true. Now I can tell you, though, if you too are afraid, that I have just read the last pages. I can now come to shouting “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” for I have found where it is written that Jesus said,

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things:
and I will be His God,
and he shall be My son.”
This is the future and hope of this world. Not that the world will survive – but that we shall be overcomers in the midst of a dying world.
Betsy and I, in the concentration camp, prayed that God would heal Betsy who was so weak and sick.
“Yes, the Lord will heal me,”, Betsy said with confidence.
She died the next day and I could not understand it. They laid her thin body on the concrete floor along with all the other corpses of the women who died that day.

It was hard for me to understand, to believe that God had a purpose for all that. Yet because of Betsy’s death, today I am traveling all over the world telling people about Jesus.

There are some among us teaching there will be no tribulation, that the Christians will be able to escape all this. These are the false teachers that Jesus was warning us to expect in the latter days. Most of them have little knowledge of what is already going on across the world. I have been in countries where the saints are already suffering terrible persecution.

In China, the Christians were told, “Don’t worry, before the tribulation comes you will be translated – raptured.” Then came a terrible persecution. Millions of Christians were tortured to death. Later I heard a Bishop from China say, sadly,

“We have failed.
We should have made the people strong for persecution,
rather than telling them Jesus would come first.
Tell the people how to be strong in times of persecution,
how to stand when the tribulation comes,
– to stand and not faint.”
I feel I have a divine mandate to go and tell the people of this world that it is possible to be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in training for the tribulation, but more than sixty percent of the Body of Christ across the world has already entered into the tribulation. There is no way to escape it.
We are next.
Since I have already gone through prison for Jesus’ sake, and since I met the Bishop in China, now every time I read a good Bible text I think, “Hey, I can use that in the time of tribulation.” Then I write it down and learn it by heart.

When I was in the concentration camp, a camp where only twenty percent of the women came out alive, we tried to cheer each other up by saying, “Nothing could be any worse than today.” But we would find the next day was even worse. During this time a Bible verse that I had committed to memory gave me great hope and joy.

“If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye;
for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you;
on their part evil is spoken of,
but on your part He is glorified.”
(I Peter 3:14)
I found myself saying, “Hallelujah!
Because I am suffering, Jesus is glorified!”
In America, the churches sing, “Let the congregation escape tribulation”, but in China and Africa the tribulation has already arrived. This last year alone more than two hundred thousand Christians were martyred in Africa. Now things like that never get into the newspapers because they cause bad political relations. But I know. I have been there. We need to think about that when we sit down in our nice houses with our nice clothes to eat our steak dinners. Many, many members of the Body of Christ are being tortured to death at this very moment, yet we continue right on as though we are all going to escape the tribulation.

Several years ago I was in Africa in a nation where a new government had come into power. The first night I was there some of the Christians were commanded to come to the police station to register. When they arrived they were arrested and that same night they were executed. The next day the same thing happened with other Christians. The third day it was the same. All the Christians in the district were being systematically murdered.

The fourth day I was to speak in a little church. The people came, but they were filled with fear and tension. All during the service they were looking at each other, their eyes asking, “Will this one I am sitting beside be the next one killed? Will I be the next one?”

The room was hot and stuffy with insects that came through the screenless windows and swirled around the naked bulbs over the bare wooden benches. I told them a story out of my childhood.

“When I was a little girl, ” I said, “I went to my father and said,
“Daddy, I am afraid that I will never be strong enough to be a martyr for Jesus Christ.”
“Tell me,” said Father,
“When you take a train trip to Amsterdam,
when do I give you the money for the ticket?
Three weeks before?”

“No, Daddy, you give me the money for the ticket just before we get on the train.”

“That is right,” my father said, “and so it is with God’s strength.
Our Father in Heaven knows when you will need the strength to be a martyr for Jesus Christ.
He will supply all you need – just in time…”

My African friends were nodding and smiling.
Suddenly a spirit of joy descended upon that church and the people began singing,

” In the sweet, by and by,
we shall meet on that beautiful shore.”
Later that week, half the congregation of that church was executed.
I heard later that the other half was killed some months ago.
But I must tell you something. I was so happy that the Lord used me to encourage these people, for unlike many of their leaders, I had the word of God. I had been to the Bible and discovered that Jesus said He had not only overcome the world, but to all those who remained faithful to the end, He would give a crown of life.

How can we get ready for the persecution?

First we need to feed on the Word of God, digest it, make it a part of our being. This will mean disciplined Bible study each day as we not only memorize long passages of scripture, but put the principles to work in our lives.

Next we need to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Not just the Jesus of yesterday, the Jesus of History,
but the life-changing Jesus of today who is still alive
and sitting at the right hand of God.

We must be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is no optional command of the Bible, it is absolutely necessary. Those earthly disciples could never have stood up under the persecution of the Jews and Romans had they not waited for Pentecost. Each of us needs our own personal Pentecost, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We will never be able to stand in the tribulation without it.

In the coming persecution we must be ready to help each other and encourage each other.
But we must not wait until the tribulation comes before starting.
The fruit of the Spirit should be the dominant force of every Christian’s life.

Many are fearful of the coming tribulation, they want to run. I, too, am a little bit afraid when I think that after all my eighty years, including the horrible Nazi concentration camp, that I might have to go through the tribulation also.
But then I read the Bible and I am glad.

When I am weak, then I shall be strong, the Bible says. Betsy and I were prisoners for the Lord, we were so weak, but we got power because the Holy Spirit was on us. That mighty inner strengthening of the Holy Spirit helped us through. No, you will not be strong in yourself when the tribulation comes. Rather, you will be strong in the power of Him who will not forsake you. For seventy-six years I have known the Lord Jesus and not once has He ever left me, or let me down.

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him”, (Job 13:15)
for I know that to all who overcome,
He shall give the crown of life.
– Corrie Ten Boom – 1974

I got this letter from the Jesus is Lord website who in turn got it from the Liberty To The Captives Website who got it from a post on the Hiding Place discussion forum. Part of the letter appears in the book “When Jesus Returns” by British evangelist and Bible teacher David Pawson. It is the highlighted section on page 199 copied from the book in the image below.

Miss Corrie Ten Boom was a Dutch survivor of the Nazi Concentration Camps. Her family had hidden Jews during the German occupation of Holland. For this they had been captured and sent off. Corrie was the only one to come out alive. Corrie was just one of the many evangelical Christians sent to concentration camps during the World War II. Her life hung in the balance during an ordeal that went on for years. But God was with her. Her faith was preserved in and through those terrible trials. She lived to testify all over the world of how God kept her in, through, and out of that time of tribulation. Corrie and her sister Betsy made this wonderful discovery.

“There is no pit so deep
that the Presence of God is not there with us”.

Corrie was finally released because of a typographical error.
For this slip-up to occur in the highly efficient Gestapo was surely a miracle.
The definitive book that tells her story is called, ‘The Hiding Place’.
It is available on this video. Here is her story on Wikipedia.

Corrie Ten Boom has become a beloved light bearer for evangelicals around the world.
She is a shining example of a Western Evangelical Christian who was tested under fire.
She was proven and refined in the crucible of history. And she came through as gold.
In this capacity Corrie Ten Boom has earned the right to be heard.
She is eminently qualified to present this special word of warning to the Western Church.

In her worldwide travels Miss Ten Boom met with many Christians abroad. Many in the Suffering Church were enduring persecution just as she had. She met with Church leaders of the underground church in China. There she became aware of what had happened to the Chinese church in 1949. At that time Mao Tse Tung was bringing China into communism. The American missionaries had left the country. Chinese Christians entered into a time of intense persecution.

During that period the Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine had been the accepted teaching. But there was a problem. And it turned out to be a serious one. This Biblically unfounded doctrine had not prepared the Chinese Church for witness under trial. Christian believers were interrogated and brutalized under the Red Guard. Many fell away from the faith in those times.

Other Christians found the promised spiritual reserves. They endured these tribulations and came through victorious.
(See the wonderful video ‘China Cry’ by tested and proven Chinese overcomer Mrs. Nora Lam.)

The Chinese experience with Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine is a telling one.
You will look for that doctrine in China today, and you will not find it.
It is extinct, …… as dead as the Dodo bird.
It seems that this shameful escapist doctrine has been tried in the crucible of history.

And it has been found wanting!

The Chinese Church leaders asked Corrie to bring a word of warning to the Christians in the West.
Responsible evangelicals realize that our present religious freedom will not remain forever.
And so we now bring Miss Corrie Ten Boom’s critically important message to the Western Church.
It is a message we can ill afford to ignore.

Corrie knew her Jesus in a deep and personal way. She also knew her Bible very well. Her life of victorious witness under persecution demonstrated and burned into her soul the truths found in its pages. The life and witness of Corrie Ten Boom is a rare example of a true saint. Here we see an otherwise ordinary modern Christian who embraced blood covenant devotion in the midst of great trials to emerge as an overcomer.

Corrie’s conviction that the pre-tribulation rapture eschatology was a false doctrine did not come by accident. Her life experience and a plain reading of the Holy Scriptures had led her to uphold the traditional Pre-millennialist view of a Post Tribulation Resurrection-Rapture. This is the view that was held by the early Church fathers and by the saints down through 2,000 years.

The letter Miss Boom wrote in 1974 has been entitled “Prepared for the Coming Tribulation”.
In this letter she expressed a plea.
She exhorts Christian believers to prepare themselves in Christ.

Bible believing Christians in the west are wise to pay close attention here.
The present political cover we have taken for granted will not be with us forever.
And one autumn day we may wake up to a different world, even a New World Order.
On that day the trumpets will be sounding on an epic day of celebration and alarm.

In such a situation our faith will surely be put to the test.
If we are not forewarned and forearmed we might not be prepared for the trials.
Christians not rooted and established in the faith could be offended, and many probably will be.
Our Apostle Paul prophesied a great apostasy, a great ‘falling away’ from the faith. (2Thes.2:3)

So Corrie’s message is a timely warning to the comfortable western church.
The complacency and materialism we see today are the characteristics of the lukewarm Laodicean Church.
Jesus said that He would spew that church out of His mouth. (Revelation 3:16)
And yet this is the very church He is inviting to sit down and sup with Him!

The end time drama will not be all darkness, gloom and hopelessness as we have been told. Joel saw the Holy Spirit climaxing in a true and genuine end time revival. (Joel 2:28-32) The Tribulation saints will tested and exiled. And yet even in the Valley of Achor, (valley of tribulation and trial”), they will find themselves being mysteriously drawn in a great serendipity into the divine romance.
The God of Israel, through His prophet Hosea, has made this declaration concerning His true bride,

“I will give her her vineyards from there,
And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope;
She shall sing there, As in the days of her youth,
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.”
(Hos 2:15)
John saw this glorious company arrayed in white robes and standing before the throne. They were victorious after all! John saw them emerge as overcomers in blood covenant devotion to the Lamb. (Rev. 7:9-17 & 15:2-4)
So this message to the western church is exceedingly important. Corrie Ten Boom has presented it with the straightforward and honest candor our Dutch brethren are known for. This is extremely rare in the merchant church that controls the information these days.
Miss Boom’s message of warning and encouragement is set forth below.

Carnal Christians may be offended by this word of exhortation.
Many just don’t want to hear such messages and denounce them “negative”..
But the woman of wisdom is still crying out in the streets. (Prov.1)
Unfortunately, most of those who pass by are just not listening.

But the true saints will pay attention and discern the spirits here.
These are the wise virgins, out finding the oil of the Holy Spirit.
They are preparing their lamps against the coming night.
And they, at least, deserve to know the truth.

Spiritual Abusive Woman Hating Preacher Edwin Young Derailed!

You Tube Video of So-called “pastor” Edwin Young brow-beating and berating a woman from his bully pulpit.  No wonder people are leaving the churches in droves these days. This man exhibits none of the fruits of the Spirit, nor does he bear any resemblance to the Lord Jesus Christ, or his gentle nature and characteristics. He does however more closely resemble the ravening wolves that the Apostle Paul tearfully described that would enter in amongst the Lord’s flock after Paul’s death.

A very godly man, a pastor himself, once told me, “When a wolf preacher gets control of a church, it will always come down to two things in the end, sex and money”. Meaning that when that man feels confident and arrogant enough, he will begin sexually abusing women, girls, or sometimes young boys. I believe it because that very issue has become epidemic in churches all over America in this hour.

This needs to be exposed and stopped by Christians who will stand up and demand accountability in their leaders. The Bible says that judgment must begin first in the household of God.  I personally feel it’s God Himself that’s drawing the line on these wolves. In recent days we’ve seen one preacher after another being arrested or kicked out of churches for sexual misconduct among members, including minor children.

One of the things that greatly disturbed me in listening to these videos is the cheering on of the men in the congregation as this fake pastor trash talked the women. And the women, apparently not wanting to labeled “one of those lesbian spirits” would clap and shout too. These people have been brainwashed and groomed to accept mistreatment as well as a false doctrine of legalism and hate.

“Come out from among them, and be not partakers of their sins, or their plagues”

“This is an attempt to give the reader a feel for the preaching style and manner of Edwin Young, ex-pastor of the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Junction City, Kansas. It is to allow you to hear for yourselves, and not just take our word for some of the things he said and did. Edwin Young resigned amidst scandal and accusations of alleged immorality with a number of younger (of age) women, as well as financial accusations, in early August 2012. (To read about that, click here. To read a compilation of the rules at the church, click here.)

An untold number of people from this church have been hurt in one way or another over the years. People would believe whatever Edwin Young told them about a person or situation. They would stand and cheer him on when he would come down hard on homosexuality or fornication, or when he would tear into a member from the pulpit…and sometimes even a visitor. A number of people who left the church under his pastorate were pegged by him as homosexuals or fornicators, among other things. Members believed what he told them. Those who remained were subject to a number of rules and standards. Members were encouraged to report those they saw breaking any rules and the pastor would follow-up by confronting the offending party, whether the accusations were confirmed or not. This was considered ‘testing the person’s spirit,’ or ‘breaking them.’

Also included are two videos of Jordan Young preaching (son of Edwin Young, who was arrested on alleged sexually related charges with minor boys between 2008 and August 1, 2012) and one of Nathan Dudley, the new pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church.

Berating Members During Service

According to numerous reports from people, Edwin Young would periodically berate people from the pulpit during his sermons, as well as privately. Below is an example of this, shown in three videos. Part one shows the context of when it happened and as such, includes part of his sermon before he tears into a female member of the church. Part two is the majority of his rant and part three is the very end where he finally returns to his message. You need to at least watch parts one and two in order to see how he would be. If the audio bothers you too much, turn it off and just watch. We have included the complete transcript of the part where he rants in the videos. It may also be read here.”

Tom White of VOM Death Cause Report Released

It’s now official! Finally after nearly 4 1/2 months Tom White’s autopsy report has been released to the public.

Medical Examiner’s Office spokesperson Eddie Johnson said a report on White’s cause of death shows the cause was acute combined drugs, alcohol and diphenhydramine toxicity.

“And the manner of death is considered suicide. And there was no autopsy,” Johnson said.”

Bartlesville Police Dept. Capt. Jay Hastings said, at the time of White’s death,

“We investigate crimes to determine whether or not they happened and whether charges need to be filed. In this case, the person that was listed as a suspect is deceased. There’s not ever going to be charges filed,” he said.

Hastings said reports in that investigation will not be made public.

It seems strange to me that since White’s death appeared to obviously  be a suicide, and that there was no autopsy conducted on his body, that it would take this length of time to release the cause of death…unless there had been pressure brought to bear for the results not to be released until a considerable length of time had elapsed. This can only be left to speculation since the VOM ministry leadership has been very reluctant to release further information.

However, the local scuttlebutt around Bartlesville, Oklahoma where White lived and VOM has it’s US headquarters seems to indicate that the molestation victim was Tom White’s own grand daughter. Again, this is speculation. No one but the parties involved know the truth of what happened for a certainty. But it does appear, as was originally made public, even by VOM, the investigation of molestation by White was enough to drive him to commit suicide. One has to be terribly grieved by this tragedy for all concerned.
