The Vanity of a Wasted Life

Since we are only given so much time in this life of ours, let us make better choices in how we play it out day by day.

The Word of God and the Holy Spirit of the Lord will guide us in our daily walk.

Eph 5:6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not become partners with them; 8for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

15Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Persecution or a Great Awakening

I’m not a huge Paul Washer fan, but he gets a lot of things right, and I believe he has a great heart and burden for the church and God’s people. There is no doubt in my mind that he’s right in this video; we are entering into the “Beginning of Sorrows”, and we must be prepared for the days ahead, and have it settled in our minds and spirits how we are going to deal with the coming hardships. Surely, even now, we can see the changes in the signs of the times, and in the affairs of men, and it does not bode well for Christians, those who are truly serving Christ,  insofar as the world is concerned. There will be great persecution, and hopefully a Great Awakening will coincide with that, at least with those who’s hearts are for the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.

The Difference Between Tribulation and Wrath

I would like to comment on another segment of Todd Strandberg’s article, “God Hath Not Appointed Us to Wrath”:

“In 1 Thessalonians 5:9 Paul assures us that God has not appointed His people to wrath. This wrath is plainly God’s anger that will be poured out during the Tribulation. Pre-Trib believers interpret this as meaning that Christians will be removed from the earth. Post-Trib believers tell a different story. They describe this as meaning that God will protect Christians during the Tribulation and pour this wrath out on the unbelievers only. This idea runs against the statement made in Rev. 13:7, where the Antichrist is given power to make war with the saints and to overcome them. A post-Trib view would make God’s promise of protection from wrath into a lie. In years past, it was possible to think of being protected from the guns and swords of that day. Today, when any major war would involve nuclear and chemical weapons, it’s impossible to expect that same kind of protection. When Nagasaki, Japan was bombed during W.W.II, the bomb exploded over a Catholic church. Everyone that was in the center of the explosion died, both Christians and non-Christians. The only way to validly interpret God’s promise of protection from wrath, is by viewing I Thess. 5:9 as the bodily removal of the Church from this world.”

My comments:

Todd Strandberg’s statements, “A post-Trib view would make God’s promise of protection from wrath into a lie” is not true.

God’s wrath and Antichrist’s wrath are entirely different things. The purpose of the Tribulation is for Antichrist to have his time to pour out his wrath on the inhabitants of the earth who will not bow down and worship him and take his mark. (Rev. 12:12) God’s wrath comes later, after the Lord Jesus Christ returns for His church.

Making the words tribulation and wrath mean the same thing is not honest when one honestly checks the context of scripture. The words, “tribulation” and “wrath” are not interchangeable.

Jesus Christ promised that we would have tribulation in this world (John 16:33 and Rev. 2:10). He also prayed to the Father that we would not be taken out of this world during tribulation but that we would be kept from evil. (John 17:15).

God also tells us to wait for “his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.” We must wait for the Lord Jesus, who has already delivered us from the wrath to come.

The Lord Jesus Christ has already delivered each Christian from the wrath to come! This verse does not say “will deliver.” It says delivered. The Bible tells us plainly what “the wrath to come” means. The wrath of God is directed toward those who refuse to repent and receive His mercy: the children of disobedience. The wrath of God is His punishment on unbelievers. (See Luke 3:7, Eph. 5:6, Col. 3:6, Rev. 6:17)

The saints of God are appointed to tribulation.

The children of disobedience are appointed to God’s wrath.

In Greek, the word wrath (ogre–3709) means punishment God executes against the wicked.

The word tribulation (thilipsis–2347) refers to the sufferings that Christians go through in this world for Christ.

God allows his children to endure tribulation.

Matthew 13:21, 24:9, 21, 29

Mark 4:17, 13:19, 24,

Acts 7:10, 11, 11:19

Romans. 2:9, 5:3

2 Thessalonians 1:4

God pours out his wrath upon those who reject his mercy  (unbelievers) not his own children.

Mathew 3:7

Mark 3:5Lk 3:7, 21:23

John 3:36

Romans 1:18, 2:5, 8

Ephesians 2:3, 4:31, 5:6

Colosians 3:6,8

1 Thessalonians 1:10, 2:16

1 Timothy 2:8

Hebrews 3:11

James 1:19, 20

Revelation 6:16, 17, 11:18

We must purpose to not be offended in Christ if things don’t turn out the way we hope and the way we have been told they will. When Christians find themselves on earth when the New World Order is in full swing and God’s people are being sought after for elimination, we need to understand that we are suffering the wrath of Antichrist, not the wrath of God.

God will not leave us or forsake us even during the Tribulation if we keep the faith — obey his word without reservation and patiently endure until the end. He has no difficulty protecting His people from nuclear explosions, biological warfare, etc. but that is for another article.

We need to understand and keep the difference between tribulation and wrath in our hearts and minds so we will not be offended with the Lord Jesus Christ and be spiritually set up to look for another Christ.

This is exactly what Satan is using his agents to condition Christians to do. He wants them to embrace a false Christ right now (a Fantasy “Christ” who will permit them to live ungodly in this present world but will still bring them to heaven when they die).

If Satan fails to entice the Christian into following a bogus Christ now, he doesn’t fret because he knows that most Christians have been thoroughly primed to look for “another Christ” during the Tribulation due to their belief that the doctrine of the tribulation and the doctrine of the wrath of God are the same thing.

Since Christians know that God has not appointed us unto wrath, the carrying out of the Disappearances by the New World Order planners could cause their faith in the biblical promises of God to crumble. What an ominous set-up for the Luciferic Initiatition! Yes, some false teachers (authors of the Left Behind Series) have been setting Christians up for this very thing for years.

Believers whose have believed their pastor’s words that God would definitely remove them from this earth before Antichrist is revealed need to go back and read the bible again and ask God to remove any spiritual blinders that are in place.

We need to study the difference between tribulation and wrath carefully so we do not set ourselves up for the spiritual fall Antichrist’s followers are hoping and planning for. We must never allow ourselves to think these apostate thoughts:

“Jesus betrayed me. He could not have been the Christ. I will look for another.”

The Lord Jesus Christ will never leave us or forsake his precious sheep (who hear his voice and follow him.) However, we are capable of becoming offended in him and falling away if we do not obey his command to not become offended in him!  (See John 16:1)

Promise: Keep us from evil;  Condition: Be Not of this World

The Lord Jesus prayed to the Father:

“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” Jn 17:15

“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through they truth: thy word is truth.” Jn 17:17

God is quite capable of keeping us from the evil during tribulation, but are we willing to be like Jesus prayed that we would be?  This is the condition to being protected in the times to come.  The condition is that we would not be of the world even as Jesus is not of the world, and the promise (if this condition is met) is “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”

Election 2012-Are Christians Crying-“Give Us Barabus”?

http://tarpley.net/media-interviews/

It’s election year, and there is no shortage of opinions. And everyone seems to be eager to express theirs.. Webster Tarpley is no exception. Days away from the election we are  privileged to get a bird’s-eye view of what to expect in the months and years after the election, (in Tarpley’s opinion, as a historian and very astute political observer). Even though Tarpley appears not to be a Christian, he certainly has a rather uncanny and prophetic take on political and world events past, present and what appears to be the outcome of the not so distant future events. History does repeat itself, right? Tarpley is an intellectual giant, and frankly, I’m astonished at the plethora of good solid information this man has in his arsenal of information. I’d trust his opinion any day compared to the lying controlled media, to know what’s really going on behind the scenes.

That said,   Webster Tarpley may be a genius at knowing and understanding what’s happening in the secular realm, but as Christians we are to know and understand what God wants us to know and do in the spiritual realm and then apply these things to our lives. In a nutshell, I have to agree with Berean call here, that maintaining our comfort zone and status quo in this world, (and nation),  needs to be last tbing on our list of spiritual priorities.

http://www.thebereancall.org/content/october-2012-extra-1

“We have no reason to doubt that we live in challenging times. Nor can we deny that our Sovereign Creator and Lord will weigh all nations and individuals in His holy balance. According to Philippians 3:20, “…our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Even though our citizenship is in heaven, we recognize the commission given by God to the church to preach the gospel (Mt 28:19-20, Mk 16:15, Lk 24:47, Jn:20:21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you., Acts:1:8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.). There is no other hope to be found in this world.

It should be of great concern to us to see how too many have uncritically joined with false teachers simply because they are saying “good things.” Christians are joining with cultists in order to preserve their temporal life in this temporal world. There are biblical issues for which Christians must stand, regardless of the cost. We have the assurance of Scripture that “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them” (Ps:34:7The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.).

Knowing this promise, why are so many willing to camp with the enemies of the gospel? After the publication of our article addressing The Harbinger , critics asked us, “Aren’t you concerned for the preservation of this nation ?” Is that to be our motivation?

If “success,” rather than the Lord himself, becomes our object, we put ourselves in a position in which we could embrace anyone or anything that seems to provide a solution. The Lord inspired Paul to write, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Col:3:2-3 [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
).

  Next, please scroll down below the snip to what Pastor Chuck Baldwin has to say about, what, in his opinion, American Christians need to do about kicking the devil out of the government and apparently taking America back for God……….. and in our own self defense.

Finally, please go into the comment section, if you wish, to follow onto a discussion between myself and another Christian concerning the pros and cons about taking up arms in defense of Christendom and the Constitution, since the rather in-depth discussion on another thread got rather off topic and I decided to transfer the comments to this post.

“You have heard the buzz words of this austerity campaign. We are told that we are approaching a horrendous fiscal cliff which must be addressed during the lame-duck session of Congress. In reality, there is no fiscal cliff — it is a myth invented by reactionaries and proto-fascists. The lame-duck session suits Wall Street because many congressmen will be defeated or retiring, and looking to Wall Street for future jobs and lucrative consultancies. We are told we need a Grand Bargain. In reality, the Grand Bargain will be orders of magnitude worse than the Satan sandwich embraced by Obama and the Republicans in August 2011, on the brink of a totally unnecessary US national bankruptcy.

While many victims of the current system fix their attention on the presidential contest, the preparations for murderous austerity are in full swing behind the scenes in Washington. Leading the charge is the so-called Gang of Eight in the United States Senate, more accurately known as the Crapo Commission in honor of Republican Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho, the reactionary Mormon who is one of its leading figures. Other gangsters of the Gang of Eight include Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, Lamar Alexander of the prison industrial complex, and Dick Durbin of the corrupt Illinois bipartisan combine. These political gangsters are now colluding with Obama to shred the economic rights acquired by the American people over centuries of political, labor, and civil rights struggles.

Backing up the Gang of Eight is the so-called Simpson-Bowles commission, known more accurately as the Catfood Commission, since this is what senior citizens will be reduced to living on if their demands go through. Former Senator Alan Simpson of Wyoming is a decrepit misanthrope who has left little doubt that he thinks senior citizens should be exterminated to relieve the pressures on the federal budget and open the door to bigger and better bailouts of the Wall Street zombie banks in the near future. Erskine Bowles is a former Morgan Stanley zombie banker himself who joined with Newt Gingrich to wreck Social Security during the second Clinton administration when he was White House Chief of Staff, and would have succeeded — until Miss Lewinsky came along.
Wall Street Austerity Ghouls Run Wild

Halloween will soon be upon us, and the austerity ghouls are running wild in the Witches’ Sabbath of class warfare against working people. The Satanic orchestrator of much of this has over recent decades been Peter Peterson, the former head of Lehman Brothers, the bank whose orgy of derivatives speculation blew apart the world banking system four years ago. But, against all evidence, Peterson and the Wall Street faction he speaks for continue to argue that the current depression has been caused by excessive spending on entitlements and the social safety net, and not by hot money speculation, derivatives, and hedge funds — which is what actually happened four years ago.

These are the forces with whom Obama has said he is “eager” to reach a grand bargain on the backs of the American people.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now then comes Pastor Chuck Baldwin, as the champion of Christians wishing to “take back America for God and the Constitution” and his world view, of which I for one have been skeptical.  Let’s just say, I may agree with his opinion of the current back-slidden state of the church and corrupt political situation, but I am very leary of his solution!
“How did Christians become War mongers?”
http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin724.htm
Chuck says:
Yes, I’ve been an evangelical Christian for most of my life and an evangelical pastor for most of my adult life. And if we Christians do not quickly repent of this bloodlust that seems to dominate evangelical Christianity today (spiritually and militarily), the word that was first used by un-churched Gentiles to describe Christ’s followers will be used as a curse-word to describe those who facilitated the ruination of our country, because “whatsoever a [nation] soweth, that shall [it] also reap.”
Message to the Heartland!
I recently saw a blog with a report that not only was this a false prophecy but that I was a false teacher for posting it. The criticism seemed to stem first of all concerning Watchman Report who produced the video. Also, there was included within the body of the video, a reference made to the 144,000 and 44. Admittedly, this baffled me as well, since I know Steven Crowder to be a true prophet who would not prophesy anything that was not of God. As I pondered this, and questioned the Lord about it, I have since come to the conclusion that Watchman Report inserted this into Steven’s prophecy when making this video, for whatever reason. I have since requested the full text of the prophecy from Watchman Report, so that I may examine it for myself. As of this date, I have not heard back from them. To complicate the issue, I seem to be unable to find online the original copy of the text of this prophecy as given to Bro. Crowder. Also, Brother Crowder is somewhat of an enigma, and reclusive. This is not an indictment against him. Instead, he doesn’t seem to be one of those seeking to make a name for himself. For since when do God’s prophets have to be “brand names” or big shots? God forbid. As for Watchman Report, I do not endorse either them or their teaching. Nevertheless, as we know from the Word of God, the Lord can even use a donkey to speak if he so chooses. That said, if the small portion of this prophecy was changed by Watchman Report, that does NOT negate the entirety of the prophecy as being true, nor Brother Crowder from being a true prophet. As for me, I have attempted to shed light on what I feel may have happened, as I wish to bring truth and light to the people of God, not confusion. The Holy Spirit will show true believers the truth and also the error that may have been introduced by Watchman Report without throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Finally, the words, ” From Steven Crowder’s own words” were added by whomever posted this on Live Leak, and I don’t seem to be able to delete them. Obviously, if Bro. Crowders prophecy had been somewhat altered by Watchman Report, and the prophecy compromised by them, then that portion is “not” in Brother Crowder’s own words! Let the reader discern!
Message to the Heartland~
Prophesied by Steven Crowder
In his own words, Steven Crowder… said the LORD gave him this vision/prophetic word in 1994.
Warning Message To Babylon-America
A powerful prophecy received by Steven Crowder in the heartland of America in 1998, regarding the dark future of America if the people do not repent (including Christians), much of which is coming true in this hour.
From The Heartland Of America
Steven Crowder
In the autumn of 1994, the Lord spoke audibly to me, and He told me to go into the heartland of America, into a city that means the end, and He spoke to me a name and county. So I came to the heartland, into the city that means the end, and I dwelt there. And the Lord said to me, I will make you invisible among the people. What do you see?
Wide Is The Gate: The New Spiritual Deception
We are being told that Christianity needs to “be reinvented”? That Christianity needs to be reformed.
We are seeing multitudes of new, strange movements springing up everywhere one turns.
Apostasy and ecumenism, which is in essence to put all religions into a blender so to speak and incorporate them into Christianity. We are seeing the so-called emergent church, the rebirth of ancient mysticism, contemplative prayer, which is nothing more than Eastern mysticism, i.e., meditation, New Age practices such as Yoga, which is East Indian Kundalini movement, the seeker friendly churches, “Reformed theology”, which is nothing more than Calvinism warmed over and made to appear more “relevant”. We have “mama Mary” the Catholic church calling for the ecumenical coming together of all religions, and taking her daughter, so-called, the Protestants to come back under her wing. Nothing new there, the RCC has always been more than willing to incorporate any belief system into and under the Catholic umbrella as long as it embraced the Pope and total authority of the church.
We have seen in the last two decades, any and every type of deception out there in the world attempting to claw it’s way into biblical Christianity and attach itself like a transplanted organ would and become part of the original. But friends, that’s not the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures, which are very explicit about what and what not is scriptural truth. The world doesn’t like this and calls it “absolutism” and it rankles them because they want to believe what they want to believe even if that means attempting to put a square block into a round hole. But that won’t be scriptural and God is not going to accept it. Jesus said WIDE IS THE GATE that leads to destruction, and as of this date in 2012, we have multitudes on that road. I heard Oprah say, but there MUST BE more roads to heaven! Who says so Oprah? Oprah doesn’t know this but she is merely a pebble in the vast scope of the eternal. And she doesn’t get to call the shots, and neither do you or I. It’s not our opinion that carries weight and that will decide the final outcome of things it’s Gods.
Think about this, if there is VERY GOD, the I AM, then by his very nature he is supernatural in being. Is it beyond one’s finite mind to consider that scripture indicates correctly there is also an adversary of evil named Satan? And that his one tool, is deception. Then our weapon must be the truth. The truth of the gospel and our faith as our power. Jesus said over and over again, “Be not deceived” or, “Let no man deceive you”, but allow me to suggest our worst enemy may be ourselves in that we have a mind with which to take in information, and a spirit to receive what we accept. Therefore,lets examine carefully what we do or do not accept as truth and why. Let’s go through the scriptures prayerfully as we study the Word of God, asking the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us to all truth.
Yes, I know you’ve probably heard these admonitions before, but please do not take them lightly because truly, the days are evil and gross darkness has swept across the land.
May grace and peace be multiplied to you this day,
Scarlett
Spiritual Abuse and it’s Effects-When the Church Becomes Your Worst Nightmare
I give God all the glory and thank Him for opening up the floodgates and exposing the “churches best kept secret”, that of spiritual abuse. It’s out of the closet now and the spiritually abused are coming from everywhere telling their stories. Talking it out, even on the Internet- is very cathartic and liberating. When I was victimized and abused by my own church, I thought I was the only one in the whole world this had happened to, and I felt so alone and betrayed. I would encourage everyone who has suffered spiritual abuse to talk about it, to a caring friend, on an Internet forum or blog, in a support group..just talk about it. Then the healing can come as Jesus pours in the oil and the wine. Trust Him to do it, and be patient with yourself. It still takes time.
2001 04 28.1
For thus says the Lord. Hear and know that the power of God is available to everyone: everyone who believes and everyone who serves. To serve simply means to bow down, repent and believe in the Lord, and to go out giving the good news to whoever will receive it. Those that do so are truly serving Me.
But so many, says the Lord, hide in the church. They go to work, mention nothing of the gospel, come home, sit down, eat their meals, live their life, go to bed, have witnessed to no one. Many of My people are like this. But I did not call them to be so.
I called them to stand up, to be a witness both in word and in deed wherever they go; and to lead those to the Lord who will listen to the Word. That Word is found throughout My Bible, and it is My Bible. Read it. Study it. Know it.
Be forewarned. Many false teachings have gone forth. But as you study the Word you will find out which is false and which is true. For My Word is truth. And what lines up with it, is truth. What does not line up with it, must be false.
Stand for the Word of God, go forth into the world and be a light unto them that need the gospel. So says the Lord.
Church Leadership or New World Order Change Agent?
This is another warning on ecumenism that’s becoming so prevalent in the organized church.
I love REAL CHRISTIAN BLOGGERS like Evelyn who blogs at:
“In Christ and Unchurched”, http://inchristandunchurched.wordpress.com/about/, because you won’t hear these warnings in the apostate organized churches. Even in “evangelical” churches nowadays, the world is intruding in the form of “political correctness”, and ecumenism. The pure gospel is not going to be popular. But Jesus said you can’t serve two masters. It won’t work. Christians are going to have to make a choice, and they are not going to be able to straddle the fence.
