Ecumenism-Shall Christians “Expose the Unfruitful Works of Darkness”? Cover Them Up?-or Pretend They Don’t Exist?

Ephesians 5:11….

Well, first of all Christians will need to discern the unfruitful works of darkness, before they can be exposed. And…the only way to be able to do that is to be well acquainted with the Word of God and be led by the Holy Spirit. Christians will simply be unable to discern error, compromise,  false teachings, or those bringing a different gospel, if they are not being led by the Holy Spirit and being attentive to the Word of God.

I believe the LORD is calling His people to a higher level of discernment as well as urging them to warn others about what has presented itself as a clear and present danger no longer to be ignored, and certainly not to be deliberately covered up. The danger is ecumenism, and it is NOT of God.

From the Jeremiah Project:

The Emergence of a One World Religion

“Modern Ecumenical Movement
There is great emphasis in the church today on uniting professing Christians of all denominations and beliefs. The message is that we’re not so different after all… we can work together. Setting aside theological differences, we can help each other in the things we all agree upon. That effort is commonly referred to as “ecumenism,” which is defined as “the organized attempt to bring about the cooperation and unity of all believers in Christ.”

“Take heed that no man deceive you.”… “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”…”For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” – Matthew 24:4;11;24″
