“Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees,Who write misfortune,Which they have prescribedTo rob the needy of justice,And to take what is right from the poor of My people,That widows may be their prey,And that they may rob the fatherless. What will you do in the day of punishment,And in the desolation which will come from afar?To […]
Sounds so much cooler and politically acceptable doesn’t it, whereas mentioning Jesus Christ might get you some sidelong glaces and eye rolls. But underneath it all, it is witchcraft any way you shake it. Satan loves it, but if you are a blood bought, spirit-filled believer and follower of Jesus Christ, he doesn’t like you and you can expect a fight on your hands if you move into his territory, especially if you’re not fully spiritually prepared for the spiritual oppression and outright attack from the evil spirits which will oppose your presence. I was not prepared, and the physical and spiritual oppression began almost the very day my son and I landed in the Southwest desert town of Truth or Consequences. There really is something in a name.
Here in TorC, as it’s called by the locals, the Hot Springs draws tourists from all over the country for health and/or relaxation purposes, where you can also include a massage afterward for a reasonable price, sometimes as a package deal at most of the spas. TorC has become a magnet for all sorts of various so-called “healing” modalities from the time when the hot springs were first developed. http://www.city-data.com/forum/new-mexico/1558884-holistic-healers-truth-consequences-old-new.html. Nowadays, taking a look in the local city directory or phone book, one can find anything and everything from psychics, tarot card readers, Reiki practitioners and other various massage or so-called healing modalities. The New Age lingo prevails here with labels such as “integrated therapy”, etc. No matter what labels these practitioners put on there various trades, there is invariably a spiritual component to it one way or another. And this is where it begins to get extremely tricky.
For example…..
If you want to opt for a massage here, it would be wise to ask the “therapist” what he or she is into, because otherwise, you will have no idea what kind of a spiritual and physical trip you may end up taking at the hands of your “practitioner”. I found this out the hard way myself recently, as I had been prescribed physical therapy by my physician to try and undo some of the other damage I’ve incurred since I moved here. I am being very serious here. I am a spirit filled believer in Jesus Christ, but I was not prepared for what I was going to encounter from the very get go in this city. What comes to mind at the moment is the Prince of Persia, the entity who was the territorial power over Persia described in Daniel 10: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel+10&version=KJV:P and….https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_spirit.
The bible indicates there are spiritual powers and principalities which are designated to rule over certain geographical areas. https://www.biblegateway.com KJV Ephesians 6:
“12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
I believe that where I live, as I’ve come to find out, is such a place, surrounded as it is by all manner of occult practices, and religions; steeped in Catholicism and Native American religious practices which have been practiced for centuries. You might as well say, this would include the entire state of New Mexico.
As I said, I should have been aware of just how serious this is, and what I might possibly encounter as soon as I stepped my foot in the door so to speak, but I wasn’t. Moving had been very long and tiring, and I just wanted to settle in and rest awhile. No such luck. It began as not only one serious physical attack, but simultaneously, the spiritual oppression began…one thing after another. I have come to realize I’d been caught in the “snare of the fowler”. as per https://answersingenesis.org/education/spurgeon-sermons/124-the-snare-of-the-fowler/. None other than Satan is the “fowler” who sets traps for unsuspecting people. One trap might not entirely destroy us as is his intention, but looking back on my experience, there was an entire series of events;one following after the last, a sequence of oppressive attacks, each one more serious than the last to the point where I never got a chance to completely recover before the next attack began.
Some may not believe we as Christians will ever have to battle oppression, but I am here to disagree. see, I have a neighbor living just a few feet from me who is a died in the wool witch. No, she doesn’t go around saying so, but over the past year, she has caused much damage, discord, sickness and havoc in this little neighborhood…… and against me and in my family specifically, to the extent that I am still trying to recover. As I speak, the battle rages; I have been and still -physically very sick. It has been very difficult to forgive this woman for the pain she has caused, but I know I must, and I believe I have…even to be able to love her. I reach out to her from a safe distance spiritually, and pray for her salvation. But I am aware of the fact that she is needs deliverance from the spirits working in and through her. And….I pray for this town that Truth will prevail in a Mighty Outpouring of His Spirit to wage war with the present darkness and evil here. I thank God that He has shown me this need, even if it meant that I had to go through this awful suffering and oppression.
I ask that Intercessors who read this will remember us in prayer here.
