Political leaders are the lowest dregs of human society, according to a heavenly messenger who spoke to the prophet Daniel. And He sets them up, and He brings them down. God is in control of what goes on in the governments of men (Daniel 4).
This scathing indictment of political leaders comes from Daniel’s experiences in the court of Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon. In Daniel’s vision this “holy one” said this: “To the intent that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it {the governments of this world} to whomsoever He will, and sets up over it the basest of men” (Daniel 4: 17).
So, all of us who read this passage from the Bible have to either throw it away as some pipe dream of a mad Hebrew prophet 2600 years ago, or we must take it for what it says.

Spiritual Abuse Sanctuary 
Thank you, Scarlett, for re-posting my article. We believers of the Truth go by His written word, penned down and preserved for us until the time of the latter rain, whose drops are beginning to fall. It says that God sets up or allows spiritually bankrupt political leaders to rise to their respective pinnacles of power–for the continuance of His plan and purpose.
I pray like the old prophets prayed that God would judge the evil doers and bring justice to this parched earth. Cyrus was not a godly righteous man, yet God used Him to accomplish His purpose. Even if Q is correct about the coming purge and potus is on point to drain the swamp (I hope justice rains down on the evil ones), that does not put Potus into sainthood. God created all of us for His pleasure. Man’s mind runs like a unbroken wild horse, but it is Yahweh who knows the hearts in the end, for He made them at the beginning.
