Meditation and Yoga are Satanic Spiritual Practices

How often do Christians have to be warned not to get involved with the ways of the world? Apparently as often as it takes…since the world doesn’t give up on shoving their “ways”  in our faces and down our throats. What am I talking about? Here it is, the middle of November, 2016, and the beginning of winter in the United States.  Our Internet homepages are full of recipes for “hearty, warming soups’, and all other manner of how to survive the coming winter. OK, that’s all well and good, as far as it goes….I do actually enjoy most of the tips, advice, recipes, and so on that lends a comforting touch to the season. Kind of like a cup of hot chocolate by the fireside in a comfy chair after coming inside from a blustering snowstorm.  What irked me today is this, for the umpteenth time on the Internet, magazines, TV and just about every other advertising venue, once again, there it was…”How to Stay Well During the Winter Season”; included as usual, was the admonition to “meditate” your way to health during winter. Included in this were some proof positive (supposed), facts that meditation will help keep us healthy, winter, spring, summer and fall. This is absolute nonsense! First of all, most all Christians are aware that Satan can produce lying signs and wonders…but whatever he makes seem beneficial and “good”, he’s going to take away before it’s over, Including false healings. After all, he is the Master Liar and Thief of all time. The Bible says: ”

Jeremiah 10: 2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

Ok, if the Lord says not to do something, you can be sure there is a good reason to obey, and not do whatever it happens to be. In this case, Yoga and meditation are heathen, pagan practices; the are not from the Lord God.

All this said….please stop listening to the so-called health care professionals who keep urging us to do things contrary to the word of God, and His commandments.

    Yes, it is sin!
    Thanks again, sister!
(Hope you have been able to get needed rest.)

Maria, I have been struggling with some serious health issues, and inquiring of the LORD, why, certain things have happened to me since I moved to this desert place. This past month has been especially difficult. I feel, even in a very weakened condition, I must somehow take stock and figure out, with the LORD’s help, where I’m missing it. I love the desert, but this is the most wicked, God forsaken place I have ever lived.
Thank you for your inquiry sister, It’s a blessing to know there is someone our there that cares.

      • Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Scarlett, I’m going to pray with you that in the Lord’s time and way He will show you what to do about health and staying in the Southwest. Love to you!

      • Scarlett says:

Thank you Maria…I have been put in remembrance so many times since coming here of the scriptures where Lot was vexed by the filthy conversation of the wicked. And…I’m quite sure that included their ungodly behavior in one way or another.
That said, just because Lot “liked” Sodom, for whatever reason was not a good enough reason to be permanently located…as scripture revealed. I do very well know that very dark occult places can oppress Christians in some very serious ways. So, yes, I am thinking and praying about this and whatever the outcome according to the Lord’s will.
        Love in Jesus….

      • Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Scarlett, Lot’s experience is a good place to go – I agree. Praying with you!

Sorry to say, since he doesn’t preach the Gospel to Jewish people, but we visited San Antonio one year to attend a Hagee conference about End Times. We had a run-in with what I believe was occult and demonic thing simply from a foot massage. A serious problem followed. So yes, there are places – Pergamos was where Satan’s seat was. We can be called to go to such places (not to participate!) but we must be sure.

      • Scarlett says:

That’s exactly right Maria! I have posted these warnings before about “massage therapists”, etc. Almost all of them are into some sort of New Age occult modality If nothing else, my moving, experiences, and warnings have been a cautionary tale! I am however going to fight this thing.
My close neighbor was at it again today talking about how her apr is so “holy”, although she doesn’t know what that “spirit”is that climbs in her bed, (thinks it'[s benign).

      • Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Scarlett, I think that the occult thing is part of a lot of therapies now. People in our culture identify with being spiritual, really, but not “religious” – you know all this, it’s mass delusion.

Your neighbor has a double delusion, New Age and her go to Catholicism, which she probably feels is her safety net..

  2. Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Jesus purged our sins – praise and thank Him!

  3. Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Scarlett, yoga led me to sexual immorality. It is very evil.

  4. Maria, a gentle iconoclast says:

Scarlett, I had read this post – good one – then watched the Vigilant Christian video just now. It was hard to watch but excellent – thank you!

Also, I read your comment above and it was good to hear from an Indian Christian. Yes! Lighthouse Trails has lots of helpful materials.

Thank you Maria for helping us understand the dangers of Yoga. We don’t always know spiritually how these things work, (by impartation), but as Christians we do know that according to the word of scripture, spirits can be imparted through sin, and practicing Pagan rituals such as Yoga and Meditation is sin.

  5. Scarlett says:

This in from “Lighthouse Trails Research Center”

A letter from a former Hindu:

    Dear Lighthouse Trails:

I am from a Hindu background. The word Yoga has developed from the word Yog. Yog means union. So when you do Yoga, you can expect your spirit to be in union with “divine spirit” completely. According to Bishnu Puran, one of the Hindu scripture yoga is “complete union between spirit of god and man.” So when you do Yoga, you are focusing on uniting with some spirit. We know it is not the Spirit of the Lord God.

Yoga was in practice in ancient Hindu times to connect them with gods to get people closure to Nirvana. Hindus have many ways for salvation and Yoga is one of that. It is a doctrine of demons. Christians cannot take part in it as it tries to connect your spirit with some spirit, and you do not know what that spirit is. In Nepal, if you walk to the Hindu temples, you find “holy people,” and they say they got freedom from all the longing of the world because of Yoga. Yoga helped them to be united with their god, and now they are free. They will show you different postures which will be offered as worship to different gods.

As Christians, according to Colossians 2:8, we should not follow the theories made according to the traditions of this world nor based on any spiritual beings.
