Am I a bigot because I don’t embrace “all faiths, denominations and belief systems”? Am I also narrow minded because I think the Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and I refuse to take for God’s Holy Truth, what some silver tongued devil, no matter how charismatic and good looking, is trying to weave into my spiritual life. Am I homophobic because I don’t believe “Caitlyn” Jenner is really a woman? (I had a crush on him long time ago when he was very obviously Bruce).
What I have learned after being delivered out of a very deceived world, is that Truth is available to everyone who cares enough to seek it with all their hearts. Wouldn’t you think that everyone would want to know the truth….about God, about Life, about what their purpose is in Life, and why they were born?
Pilate asked Jesus, “What is Truth?” When the Truth was standing right there in front of him looking him in the face.
I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the truth of His Word, and those, who like Bereans, are eager and willing to study the Word diligently to seek out the truth and not what has been spoon fed to them by their “church” leaders. But the most amazing and baffling thing….there are highly intelligent and influential men and women who are, to the trained, enlightened eye, being deceived by the man made doctrines and traditions of men, (and their upbringing).
We are seeing those seeking to be elected to the highest office in the land, who have been indoctrinated into a religious belief system, (brainwashing), and never seem to get beyond that, or even question it.
Ben Carson, for example is a brilliant man and former neurosurgeon. He didn’t arrive at that status by laziness or goofing off on his studies. Yet, he has been indoctrinated into the Seventh Day Adventist cult, and hasn’t even seemed to question the truth of it in all of his 60 plus years.
Or, take Vice President Joe Biden, possibly another presidential hopeful. I was told by a Catholic inclined neighbor that Joe Biden has gone through so much suffering in his life, and has said that he “got though it” by praying the rosary every night, (which is to be found no where in the Bible).. After I did a quick googlization online, I found that Joe Biden was born and raised into a Catholic family, so it’s not surprising to me that he would continue to consider himself a Catholic, along with practicing Catholic traditions and teachings and rituals.
OK, and was not Barack Hussien Obama once Barry Soetoro, changing his name to a Muslim name when he attained adulthood? Did not Barry Soetoro attend Madrassa, a Muslim school as a child? Does that make him a Muslim? No, but it sure seems that he leans that way even if he didn’t openly proclaim it when he was campaigning for President….or even now for that matter. (If it walks like a duck, you may consider that a strong indication it’s a duck)
Brainwashing and indoctrination is a very strange thing the way it has an effect on the human mind. Why do otherwise intelligent people do this? Why do they put their faith in any belief system originating from or run by men? Why would they believe in, and accept unproven doctrines, and place their eternal destiny in the hands of a man, or Pope or Preacher? They have a brain. They are not clones, mental slaves or robots. They can seek and know the truth. They can ask questions, even to the God they do not as yet know. If they want they Truth, it’s there for those who go after it. If…they are willing to do God’s will, and not their own…God will reveal Himself to the Seeker of Truth, not the follower of men.
“Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.” John 7: 14:17

In the world’s eyes we are bigots, but the Lord Jesus proclaimed the road is narrow that leads to life and there are few who find it. I will prefer to be called a bigot and hater of this world if it leads me to everlasting life. It’s hard, and the flesh cries out against the Spirit, but I pray the Lord continues to lead all of us who are His along this narrow path.
Amen brother! And I know you have strived to be on that narrow path. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
The world has nothing to offer me but more suffering and pain.

Scarlett, today I read an article about an interview with Ben Carson in which he said he finds no reason to dismiss any doctrine of Seventh Day Adventism. One of Ellen G White’s teachings is that the second Beast of Revelation is America. This raises so many questions.

I know Maria, it is very baffling in a way. A woman I know who needs the Lord and Savior like we all do, says she is an agnostic, yet she was raised as a Catholic, and one gets the definite impression that if she did come to believe in God, to her he would be a Catholic God.

I was thinking about this a great deal today, and to be frank, if I had my druthers, in the natural, I would completely avoid this woman, and everyone like her; the brainwashed, indoctrinated ones amongst us. And to be even more candid, I have indeed tried to do that very thing, avoid her….especially when confronted with her worldliness, and outspoken distaste for my speaking about Jesus and the bible. But, I was rather taken aback today when she said she didn’t know how I was able to go through the things she’s seen me go through and still be joyful. I just told her it was because of Jesus. And then I realized, there was some light breaking through into her dark life, and that somehow she saw something in me I didn’t see in myself, but it had to be Jesus somehow. What else? He is truly amazing.
Satan has long sought to be worshiped, but he is a counterfeit. I suppose when people believe a lie long enough, or when it’s been instilled in them since early childhood, to the natural senses, it seems right and reasonable.
How does anyone know who’s telling the truth, the Pope…or the Lord Jesus Christ? The Lord Jesus said it was someone who had willed to do God’s will.
“If anyone is willing to do His (God’s) will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” John 7:17 -18
I’ve been thinking a lot about “childhood religious indoctrination”….(brainwashing) lately, and find that it’s almost universal in mankind, one way or another. Muslims will be Muslims, Buddhists will be Buddhists, Baptists will be Baptists, Mormons will continue to be Mormons, and……………………… once a Catholic, always a Catholic is what one usually sees people continuing on in because of man made doctrines and traditions of men, that attempt to usurp the Truth of God’s Word. That is a very serious issue, because the Most High God has given us all a brain to either seek Him out, to seek the truth, or to go on in this life in the world, never questioning anything beyond what we’ve been taught or what we personally believe.
Apparently, this is how the sheep and the goats are separated. Those who are truly seeking, willing, and doing the will of God, and those who deceived and will believe and live a lie.
I thought about the “Pope’s so called selfless act” of kissing the little disabled boy. The impostor of the Lord Jesus kissed him, but the real Lord Jesus would have forgiven his sins and laid hands on him, and healed him,

I’ve seen this kind of thing, being doubtful but speaking as if they would return to the RCC if they lay doubts aside. Not considering simple faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible.
