“Worse yet, let every true believer be on guard for idols in our own lives.”
Yes, for sure,…we can’t leave that out. Christians tend to mistake idols as being those “venerated” and/or worshiped by other cultures or religions, but idols in our own lives can be anything the flesh won’t give up or crucify, in obedience to the Lord Jesus. That can cover a lot of territory,
This reminds me of looking through a coworkers pictures from a business trip to India. Their is very little difference between looking at these pictures and hindus worshipping idols. Worse yet, let every true believer be on guard for idols in our own lives.
Thank the Lord God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ for that faithful remnant who don’t deny the Lord Jesus and His word of Truth contained in Holy Scripture, the bible.
Amen!
