Are You an “Isolated” Christian?

Are you a Christian who for whatever reason find yourself without fellowship with other Jesus loving, bible believing Christians? Are you a Christian who was perhaps spiritually used and abused in the organized church system? Or did you leave because of false brethren or teachings you encountered in the Institutional church? Or, maybe you were either driven out by persecution, or even brought out by the Lord Jesus Himself as some of us have been? Well, join the ranks…there are many of us who have gone through various and yet similar circumstances and find ourselves isolated from fellowship with other believers, and/or the church system. Take heart and be encouraged because you are not alone.

If we have walked out, or been driven out of the church doors of the organized church, they tend to look at us this way, that we have become disobedient rebels or we would not have left their assemblies:

“Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. 19They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.”

The Institutional church tends to believe that you must “go to church” with them or else you are not a “real” Christian. Friends that mindset is typical of what church folk have been taught, but very well may be upside down from the truth, and quite opposite from what they believe and say. For example, it may be the organized church that departed from the Lord’s remnant believers, or at least a majority of them. Think about it!

In any case, I want to bless and encourage you to continue in the faith and keep seeking the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart. He has not left you by any means. He wants you to trust Him in all things. I know you will be blessed and encouraged by watching and listening to the video I posted. I was 🙂 For you see, I have been “isolated” too, if you want to call it that….I simply think of myself as being “set apart” with Him for His purposes, not “isolated” in that sense or alone, and for possibly just a season. Who knows? I’m just trusting Him with my life daily. You can do the same. He knows all about it and how to work things out in His time and in His way.

I am so so grateful for this wonderful encouragement. I am an isolated Christian who left the ‘organized’ church because I needed to find out for myself if Jesus is the real deal. All I was being offered in my church was a lot of emotionalism in the worship session, ever increasing demands for more tithes, and repeated prayers with hardly any meaning. The pastor and assistant pastors sounded more like African American televangelists every day. I have had serious challenges in my life, and I need serious answers and breakthroughs from the power of generational curses that have hounded my family for centuries. I left the church gradually and began to source for the ‘real meat of the word’ from a man of God online. I was so grateful when I came across Derek Prince’s sermons. God is using this man’s sermons to change my life a whole decade after he went to be with the Lord. I find it so odd, but eye-opening in a nice way, that my relationship with Christ deepened after I stopped going to church every week. I am still looking for a church that teaches the word of God without any legalistic man-made additions, but have made up my mind that I will not sit under defective preaching anymore. I am so encouraged when I come across sites like yours which encourage Christians to read the Bible for themselves and pursue a relationship with Christ according to the precepts of His Word even if they have to do it outside the Church. May God richly bless you.

Dear Joanne, Most of us who have left the apostate organized church are indeed somewhat isolated. However, this need not be utterly discouraging when we realize that the Lord Jesus called the great apostle of the faith, Paul, unto a season apart in isolation and intimacy with Him. From reading your comment It’s clear to me that you are doing well in breaking through the darkness and shackles of Nicolaitanism.
Let me intoduce you to two of my favorite WordPress bloggers who post adamantly about the falsity of the organized church that we’ve come out of.
https://fleebabylon.wordpress.com/ A great guy, loves the Lord Jesus and the Bible. I’ve been greatly blessed by his blog postings.

I’ve learned a lot from Bro Dawsons writings. He is a firebrand for the Lord, and I always look forward to his posts.

God bless you Joanne, and your journey forth bravely in the Lord Jesus. Never look back!
      Blessings of grace and peace,

  3. Eliza says:

Amen, sister Scarlett. Going out from among them, the false church system, is not the same as going out from us, those who know Jesus Christ and believe and obey His Word. This is further revealed in 1 John 4:5-6

5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who know God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Remember that Jesus Christ called the false system of religion embraced by the Jews as the world. The world is anyone or any institution that opposes the truth and sets up its own systematic teachings in opposition to the Word of God. The visible church is rife with such and so they are the ones who have gone out from the fellowship of the apostles and prophets who are God’s instruments in giving us His truth, leading us to Jesus Christ, His salvation, His love for us and His will for us while we live for Him, love Him and await His return. God bless us:)

    • Scarlett says:

Yes, indeed sister Eliza…I know there are many who came to the false church system, seeking and thinking they would find the Lord Jesus there, only to be disappointed and then leaving, once they found out He wasn’t in that mess, and then throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater. I was one of those…and it cost me years of wandering in the world, loss and suffering before the Lord rescued me,

That was my first experience with the false church system. Even as a half blind baby, I could perceive how shallow it was and devoid of any real spiritual depth in Christ. In my ignorance back then I rejected Christ because of that. I had mistaken the church…for Christ, Vast distinction between the two.

It seems people will do one of two things…they will either see the falseness of the false church system…or, they will buy into it and become part of it, to their deception if they don’t come out at some point.

      Loved your comment…
      Blessing to you,
      Scarlett

It is the father of lies Scarlett, that takes scripture and twists it to fit his agenda. So these who run their own sheep and goat pens are merely doing what they know how to do being like their father.

We answer with scripture in context just as our Lord does, for we are His!

    Questions:

Who is it today that invite the world in to what should be the “fellowship of the Saints?”
    The preacher/blind guide/hireling/wolf that’s who.

Now what is the result of that system?
The sewing of tares in with the wheat such that the few remaining wheat become now longer fruitful.

So who was it according to scripture that did this?
The enemy, AKA satan and his ministers of light (which is darkness).

In Revelation 2 and 3 we see Jesus on the outside knocking at the door of the churches bidding His Own to come out and fellowship with Him! In Revelation 16 we see Jesus saying come out of her My people for her sins have reached to heaven (earlier He says it has become filled with unclean spirits…Hmmm) lest we be caught in her destruction!

    Just saying…

    • Scarlett says:

Well, you are “just saying” a very serious reality insofar as the present church system is concerned. I have been through that system. I went in as an newly washed lamb, and came out of it at the end, feeling as if I had been dragged through a knot hole backwards. It’s a rough and dirty game if you try to buck the system….while you are still in the system, That is, asking questions, and questioning false teachings. And that’s what it is….a system. Questioning their doctrines will be met with hostility and condescension.

I know very precious people who are spirit filled and do love the Lord and believe they are “doing right”, but they’ve been indoctrinated so thoroughly into “church normal” all their lives, they are simply blinded to the truth.

I don’t know exactly why the Lord gave me the grace or ability to have spiritual eyes to see the truth, but thank God I did, and escaped. The Spirit of the Lord “moves” as much as He can in these places, but the system hinders Him. Quenching, grieving and resisting any true move of the Spirit, just as the bible says. Because…..they, not God, are still running the show.
      Sad…so sad.

If there are church folk reading this, I hope I don’t offend you with my words, but I must tell it like I see it, as well as I have experienced it.

Thanks Mickey, and may the Lord bless you,
      Scarlett

  5. Mickey Merrie says:

Thanks Scarlett for your recent posts to those who are hurting from the jesus Inc. franchises.

To expound on the verse you quoted above, we need to look at who wrote it. This was one of the Apostles, who were charged to preach the Gospel ONCE GIVEN to the Saints via these same Apostles. Thus to go out from “us” means those who have left the Gospel ONCE GIVEN to these Apostles and who are now preaching other gospels and the very traditions of men that make Jesus’ Word of no effect.

Therefore it is the jesus Inc. franchises who left the Gospel ONCE GIVEN to follow 10,000 deceptions who are not of we, who hear the Lord’s Voice and will in no way follow another!

They then are the ones who went out from US for they ate not of us!

    • Scarlett says:

Amen! Thank you Mickey for so beautifully expounding on and fleshing out that very critical passage of truth. It’s strange, (well perhaps not), how some can take that verse, as well as many others and turn them around from what it was intended to mean to something entirely different.
By the way, I like that phrase, “Jesus Inc. Franchises”. That certainly tells it like it is with the mainstream corporate church system.
