New Christian believers repenting and throwing their magic books into the fire!
Well, I’ve been getting nasty comments from Reiki practitioners again, so I guess it’s time to update my thoughts on Reiki. For all of you who have come to this blog to lambast me for saying anything negative about Reiki, I would just say to you, “been there, done that”. I’ve been through the New Age scenario. It’s not like I don’t know what I’m talking about….. I’ve been into the “healing arts” and ” false laying on of hands”, and I can tell you honestly, it’s a dead end road that leads you away from truth, away from Jesus and straight to hell if not repented of.
Mind you, I am not saying anything against you personally, because that’s between you and God….but I am taking a stand against Reiki and it’s practice. As a previous New Ager, who thought New Age and all it’s various modalities and venues, was “cool”. But when Jesus came into my life, and I was born again spiritually and supernaturally by the power of God, I became awakened, aware and warned, that New Age beliefs such as reincarnation, following after occult practices, Yoga, channeling, mediums, psychics, various New Age “healing modalities”, not based on Biblical principles, are definitely not from God, nor are they “cool”, but instead, very dangerous.
So, why would these false beliefs be dangerous? Because they are deceitful- and doctrines of devils, of which the bible says to beware.. They can indeed introduce demonic influences into the lives to those who practice them.
Friends, we can’t serve two masters. What does that mean? Well, either we are going to be inclined to serve Jesus Christ…or…the god of this world, Satan. We can’t have it both ways.
John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God), except through me.”
Acts 19:18-20
18 “And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
New Age, Reiki, Yoga, etc. Is nothing more than a form of witchcraft. Those of whom the Book of Acts is speaking of, had repented of their practices after having believing in Jesus and confessing their sins, and then turned away from their occultic practices.

Admin note: I am still getting many inquiries and search terms on the subject of Reiki, indicating this spiritually seductive deception is gaining disciples. Remember, Satan comes as an angel of light with all manner of lying signs and wonders. The energy channeled in Reiki is God’s love/light. There is no ‘other master’ being served. It has the purest intentions and no dogma. You speak of occult books, yet the most famous texts were written by King Solomon. You may know that name from somewhere ….
Healing is not done by the practitioner or some demon, all healing is done by the patient. Energy is merely supplied to their Spirit by the Reiki Adept. It is never done without permission, as the Law of Free Will is paramount. This is also ‘proof’ of its affiliation with Service to Others and not negative forces.
This isn’t ‘New Age’ anything either …. have you even researched its history?
Your arguments are something I’ve heard many times before. I used to believe these things myself before I was miraculously saved, delivered and really healed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Satan heals by temporarily removing his afflictions, but it’s a deception. He comes as an Angel of Light, giving a false aura of relaxation, healing and calmness, another deception. Why would a feeling of healing, peace and calmness be so bad, you might say? Just that, because it’s a deception and the Reiki practitioner has unwittingly opened portals for demon spirits to enter their client, and even though the client has given permission for what they believe will help them, they’ve done so ignorantly, not realizing how dangerous this is. And that later, these demonic beings will bring something far worse upon the client, since they have come in and been given permission by the clients, free will, as you’ve just said, to operate, only it won’t be in a way that’s conducive to the client’s healing and welfare. So, why is Reiki ultimately so bad, if as their practitioners claim it’s from “God”? Because it’s the wrong god. Reiki has a god, but it’s not the true God of the bible, it’s a false, destructive god that pretends to be the true God. The true God and Lord Jesus Christ would never heal this way…there is the Real Power of the Holy Spirit in Christ and His people to lay hands on and heal others if they have faith to receive healing.
Yes, I have read your history, and have even practiced many of these “curious arts” myself. All this brought misery, sickness, and turmoil into my life. It will do the same thing for you down the line if you do not repent of this, ask forgiveness and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ to receive deliverance and release from these occult powers. Demons influence your thought life and cause you to believe these are Your thoughts and that Reiki is OK….but it’s far from it.
I hear a lot of opinions, stated as fact, and not much else. Brother Yeshua is always in my heart and loving thoughts. Intent, faith and positive polarization are all that is required to do God’s Work without succumbing to the dark forces. Yes, that can “paint a target on your back” .. so to speak, but you are confusing that with some causality that isn’t there.
I speak of what I know as truth as one who has been healed, delivered and saved, not by “brother Yeshua” but by the Yeshua Hamachiach, Jesus, the Messiah, the Name above every name, and the only name by where we all must be saved. And as such, I am not speaking from an opinion or in confusion but as one who has actually experienced the reality of His Miracles and Truth.
You will never experience this truth until you turn to the True God of the Bible, and away from the false god you are serving in Reiki. That is a fact that is true, and was clearly and truthfully illustrated in the video link I sent, which you couldn’t have possibly listened to in the length of time from since I sent it and the time you rapid fired your response. God will speak to you, only when you turn to Him in repentance. He has done everything He can do for you by sending His Son Jesus to die for your sins and set you free. As smart as you are, you have a sin and repentance problem bro, that is not being dealt with through Reiki.
One final note….King Soloman never wrote the occult books you are speaking of. I’m quite sure you read that from some deceptive book other than the bible. If you are looking for truth, read the Bible starting at the gospel of John, and working your way through the rest of the New Testament.

Thanks Gabriella. There is a huge problem with Reiki where I live, in New Mexico. Of course, it’s spreading to other areas as well.
As Christians we need to warn and speak out about this and other New Age horrors.
Not all of Reiki’s victims are New Agers , but uninformed people who simply believe they’re getting some “body work” or massage. Or, have been told it’s a form of obtaining “divine healing”. Reiki practitioners themselves often believe this lie. But nothing could be farther from the truth.

Hi Scarlett, Keep up the good work. 🙂 You wrote in your post that you get a lot of visitors on your site. Out of curiosity, did that happen over time, or was it luck, or prayer, or did you employ certain strategies, or all of these? I’d love for the truth to get out to as many people as possible.

Nor did I realize when I posted it would be such a controversial subject. So, I don’t believe luck, or strategies had anything to do with it. It was the subject itself that was topical and timely.
Of course, there are many Reiki practitioners that are making a living from their practice, as well as believing it helps people. I’m sorry to say, they are deceived. If you’ve read some of the comments, you know some of the practitioners have been very angry and gone so far as calling me the devil, lol. Be that as it may, I’m standing my ground on the issue.

I’m not surprised that some of them got angry. So many people don’t understand and think they’re doing right. It’s like Paul said, that we’re not fighting a battle against flesh and blood but against the spiritual rulers and principalities and such. Whether people’s hearts are closed or opened to the Truth is a spiritual issue.
